Because her Baby JJ performance was impeccable. One of the greatest acting moments of the entire series

she did wayyy better than everyone else in the challenge tho. Her dress also reversed from black to pink, but the weird garbage bag shroud thing is what made it questionable. Detox and Katya were the best ones on set overall, but they were judging the performances individually. It wouldn’t make sense to have phi phi and katya or phi phi and detox bc neither was better than the other, and phi phi and alaska did better than d and katya so it wouldn’t be fair to have detox and Katya win.
All of the claims of “favouritism” with Alaska can be disputed if you just put yourself in the place of the judges lmao

I feel like that season was so close though. Gigi had a very real chance at winning, and if Crystal hadnt done such... Cooky lipsyncs 😅 i think she could've had a real chance too. In 12, i feel like it came down to preference; Jaida is Drag with a capital D, old school but golden and great, Gigi was young, new and trying out things while Crystal was crazy and incredibly innovative. My personal favorite that season was Gigi, but i understand why Ru would prefer Jaidas D-rag approach 😆 12 is i think the only season I've watched where i actually had no idea who would win.

Jinx's moment was diving in to save Ivy Winters bombing the Snatch Game with "Quite the scandal, actually"

I think that Season 5 was Jinkx doing snatch game: everyone doubted her and she was amazing
That lipsync was when she proved she could beat her strongest competitor at their own game, though. If not for her showing her skills in that lipsync, it would have been a much tighter race
Also when she did that dia de los muertos runway! She'd been slated all season for her runway looks, but the BAM! Flawless makeup, interesting and different to what every other queen did on that runway, really complemented her outfit, the outfit was amazing!
Just everything she presented that day was great.

I mean, Dela DID dominate the rest of the competition. She won 5 of the 6 challenges she participated in, eliminated herself after that 6th challenge, AND THERE WERE ONLY 8 CHALLENGES IN THE SEASON (including the finale). Ben crushed that season harder than any queen ever has

I have to admit, I was a little annoyed when Manila got sent home. They gave her such shit when she was talking about sending Valentina home because she saw her as competition. And were so complementary when she did end up sending home Gia instead. And then the first time she's in the bottom she gets sent home? Like what happened to sending people home because they deserved it? Like I get the game, but it was shady to be so uppity about it to her and then send her home like that.
@@kaya119 honestly that bothered me so much too. like "oh I can't BELIEVE Manilla would choose a personal relationship over fairness" and then were totally fine with Naomi sending Manilla home and Monet basically saying she did it as revenge because they knew they immediately had a higher chance of winning. Like I don't blame Naomi for feeling like she owed Latrice a debt for saving her, but Manilla also felt a debt for losing and getting them eliminated on AS1.
@@kaya119 idk why naomi did it, sure she made great t.v but she 1st of all, would get sent hate, a lot of it, which she did. She removed manila, the only thing making the season bearable so the rest of it was lackluster and hence it had low stars, so the whole show was garbage. She also wouldn't have won anyways, that was her only 1st win and there was 1 more episode and it was an improv so.... And the other 3 had a couple of wins, she also had to put a verse on an already horrible rumix, and she also made a mediocre verse. Really don't see how it was worth it for her, she really didn't think it through 😭 I feel like she's acting atp that she did but girl..I wouldn't even do it. Like y waste weeks of harassment and not even win 100k, if I was runner up, then yeah I would do it. The whole thing Is a mess 😭

I think everyone knew Bianca was going to win very early on. S6 was the very first season of drag race I ever watched, and I remember turning to my friend on the first challenge and saying "wow, Bianca and Courtney really are in a league of their own".

I don't think that when Dela left people went "oh yeah, Trixie has this is the bag". When she left, the closest one to get the crown was Shangela, so when Shangela was out of the race, then and only then people thought Trixie was going to be the winner, especially since there was no way Kennedy would win (even though she deserved it as much as Trixie).
Dela and Shangela would be my final 2. I agree with the video that Trixie would win when they announce her to be in the final lup sync.
When Dela left it was Shangela's race. It was the eliminated queens's vote that gave the crown to Trixie.

I disagree with season 3, I think the only thing that made Raja a bit better fit for the crown was her experience and impeccable fashion taste, but I will always be sad about AS4. Manila was the obvious winner and I know it’s not fair but that whole thing changed my perspective on Naomi for a while.

Honestly, Trixie was a High for me at the Variety challenge, maybe could have beat Dela at the Bitchelor had not been for Milk ruining their routine, and was CLEARLY the winner at the girl group challenge with Bebe. Finally, she bombed Snatch Game just as much as Shangela bombed the Ball. So, for me, Trixie was AT LEAST as qualified as Shangela for the crown.

There was 3 times when Ru was genuinely shocked. When Manila was eliminated, when Bendela sent herself home (you could see Ru struggling to grasp whats going on), and when Valentina, arguably Ru's favourite that season invalidating the game and sending herself home with her behavior and lack of lipsyncing.
I still cry over that elimination

People always say “it’s just a competition” but these queens put so much time, effort, hope and especially MONEY into this. Manila would be such a good and deserving all star winner. The moment Naomi pulled that lip sync made me want to puke.

Agree, last full season i watched was season 7 after I just saw an episode here and there b/c of school. But seeing the drag race drama channels and how angry people were at her not winning season 9, Then how excited a lot of people were at her coming back for allstar 5 it was kind of obvious she was going to win. Sad for the other girls though, since they really didn't have a chance and if they had voted her out regardless if she had not been the best competitor they would have received an immense amount of backlash. Juubee and Alexis should have came back another season then they would have had a better chance at winning,

Season 12 arguably had the strongest top 3 of any season. Its not shading Jaida.
Gigi was incredible. She got 4 challenge wins and is now tied for the record for most challenge wins, with Sharon Needles and Shea Coulee.
Jaida was consistent in her looks and fashion, as well as being overall likeable and sometimes funny.
Crystal had the most improvement, and was definitely the most unique.
It was a tough choice. No one could be certain with that one.
Jaida stan here, but Gigi also never had to lip sync for her life, technically she has the highest score!
I agree that S12 had a strong top 3, however i think track record is losing its validity since there's a lot of times that the fans and even the queens themselves disagree with who won which challenge. I mean, Crystal couldve easily had 2 or 3 wins. Gigi did constantly good but was obviously favored by Rupaul to take the wins,and also was saved from the bottom during the droop challenge (because she wouldve been unable to beat Jan or Widow) and Jaida imo couldve been high for the makeover bc Crystal was the clear winner that time.
Still the clearest example is when Brooke won the makeover instead of Vanjie. That showed that they were pushing her to be the frontrunner.

I am still shocked more past winners haven't came back. Alaska never lost a lip sync (well she did if contact isnt drag). Sasha one of the most iconic lip syncers ever, Raja could give a few a run for their money. and Jinkx of course.
