PGRs Coating System I think is really great and Wuthering Waves should literally just take from what they have already made. The SFX coatings alone should be a Kuro STAPLE, but not just that. Throw in the gacha skin system as well as the free non-sfx skin shop and this will make literally EVERYONE happy. It will also uphold the reputation you've had as a generous player friendly dev team/company, and that benefits both of us. BTW if you don't wanna see the comparison of the skins because you're aware, check the timestamps! Totally get it, don't wanna crash from the disappointment! It's just an example, and also I'd argue maybe not like a super super 1:1 since this skin literally came out after 4 years of PGR. That's a lot of time for honing their SFX coating skills, but PGR skins have generally from the start all been bangers imo. We'll have to see when it comes.
I absolutely want skins in WuWa. One of the most important arguments for this is - making it a way to resell characters, to keep them more relevant and avoid powercreep as well as pushing them aside in the story.
I LOVE skin. I spend like $30 for Diluc's skin back in the day... and it looks like Kuro's skin is top notch, so I'm ready to dolphin harder (LOL) for it.
1000% some of the BEST skins. Not just some minor alterations, they are almost like full ass overhauls. Really really cool. BUT just to also let you know, they do come at a big price and they are more than $30! Again, not all coatings in PGR have that gacha mechanic, and I can imagine the same thing in Wuwa if it comes. So be prepared for that possibility!
@@Vinsenneth Oh yeah I did a little research and found some Reddit threads. It ranges from free, $10, $20-ish, to $40. But hey, if it slaps, it slaps. I think about 75% of my spending as a dolphin in Love and Deepspace (a dating sim gacha, but the fight slaps too) is skin. I just _had_ to have some outfits, even when I cannot bring those outfits to battle (just for photo & date). So... that should give you an illustration on how much I love skins, haha. I'm more than happy to support Kuro because I can tell they put in the work. Thanks for the info, Vinsenneth!

HOLY CRAP. I really hope the skins in WuWa look like that! I love skins that change SFX, VFX and voicelines, one of the reasons I like League's skin system so much and probably why it's so profitable. Hoping this quality of skins stays in Kuro Games 🤞
True but that doesn't mean they shouldn't add this anyhow. Again I'd rather have a gacha skin option for currency than just total pay wall. It's giving a choice that I think is the most important part of the system, outside of just the cool skins.
I think the intro/outro thing wont be a thing for WUWA bcs of how different the gameplay is to an extent. I suppose you mean they should get different ultimate animations?
Yeah just to clarify because I know... Intro/outros are skill names in wuwa. When I talked about intro and outros I meant like the entrance and exit animations before and after battle in pgr. You're still right though since that won't exist in wuwa! But there could be some cool little sfx they could do on the skill side of things for Wuwa. They do change the entire animation for Ultimates, skills and leap upgrades like as shown in the comparison clips
Even if they're planning on it, now they'll need an in-lore reason why they have a different outfit, aside from that, would they add in several versions of the same character (probably not)

Like Yangyang in casual Huanglong wear. There doesn't need to be anything super deep other than... This is Yangyang casual clothes. This is what she wears on off days. lol
I would not agree to have a skin/coating in Wuwa. Why? If they really intented to do so they should make it happen at the early release/during launch bcz it would not be enough time to cover all characters. Plus the ingame system itself not really favor for the game to have a skin/coating system. The main reason why i say this is bcz of weapon system itself, that why Genshin only did skin on character clothing, not on weapon side. Its pointless to have comestic for weapon for Wuwa, the meaning of signature will fade away. This will bring back the point that i had argue before. That's why i prefer they stay as it is bcz it proved me wrong, if not it will make me loss faith with Kuro entirely.
pgr weapon skin system is applicable to all rarity of the weapon, be it 1-6star weapons. So, if the concern revolves around losing the "signature" feel of the weapons in WUWA if they do implement it, they can either only put skins only to the character and animation, or make the skin as a one set (character , animation and weapon) so that it can still have that "signature" feel that you are looking for
@@Mallows_28 What the point of pulling the weapon if they going to be replaced by other cosmetic while the weapon itself already has their own cosmetic value. For passive and substat? Then why does the equipment gacha have to be the weapon? Why don't they replace the idea of it to something else like runes/gene/even the gourd can be used. What i mean is the character comes with their signature weapon equipped already the same as what Aether Gazer did. That's the reason why i hate the weapon type restriction system like Genshin to begin with. It also limits how the character can be designed. Honestly i feel funny for what they did to jiyan, he barely swings that broadblade in most of his attack animation (One of the reasons i dont pull for jiyan). So what is the point of having the weapon skin/coating for him? They want to insert a unique weapon type into Wuwa but follow the wrong system.🤣🤣🤣 (I cant wait for them to add new pistol like weapon😏😏, i hope it not become decoration like jiyan) That's why I don't agree they add skin/coating into Wuwa. If they make it just for clothing, it somehow feels weird. Wuwa isnt as FTP friendly as PGR. Spenders have less money to purchase or pull for skins.
