Thanks to everyone who watched the video, I greatly appreciate it!!! I do apologize for the audio, i didn't realize how bad it was until yall let me know and I'm glad you guys did and It should be better moving forward. Thanks again for the support!!!
I honestly didn't notice that and it's been a problem for me before with other channels. You cracked me up a buncha times tho😊
5 bucks in the early 90s was like 12 dollars today , yeah I’m not paying 12 dollars for a milkshake lol.
that's right, inflation. nevermind then, 5 dollars for a shake is ridiculous 😂
The movie is all about redemption. Bruce Willis’ character could’ve left Marcellus to die, he doesn’t and is spared Marcellus wrath. Jules realizes he and Vincent should be dead when they are shot at and sees it as a sign that he needs to redeem himself in God’s eyes. Vincent doesn’t see this and ends up dead, Jules having left “the life” to wander the Earth. Jules letting Ringo and Honeybunny go is the beginning of his redemption.
As for the case, some have argued it is Wallace’s soul in there.
I saw this in 1994 in the theatre when it came out, and let me tell you, it was an experience with an audience. I love seeing people react to it for the first time!
Great breakdown of the movie!! I watched it again and I understood it a bit more. thanks for watching!!
As an active viewer of more reactors than I would like to admit to, please hear this advice and feel free to take or leave any of it that you feel works for you. 1. Always adjust the volume of your voice to match the volume of the movie. Nothing worse than having to turn the volume up and down because you are either listening at work, or while your spouse sleeps, etc. lol. 2. There are some movies that are complete classics that need watching, and I would wait for a bit until you have more followers to start on them so you can maximize whatever money you may make. You likely know which ones they are, but Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, A Few Good Men, Good Will Hunting and Matrix should all get you many viewers, treat em right when you do them. :) Good luck on your new endeavor I hope you make 30k per month forever and have a great life from this!
Thx!! I greatly appreciate the feedback!!!this was my first movie reaction and i was l worried about how it would turn out. the audio will be better in the future, i was panicking while editing the whole time. Thanks for the kind words my man!!
You are MOST DEFINITELY on your way. The levels is my one creative comment. Keep up the great work, you have a new subscriber.
This is really good advice.
I loved your reaction
Cell phones were not widely available during 1994. The public was still communicating remotely by pagers. So I can see hindsight people today dialing 911 all over the place 😂
I had forgot this movie came out almost 30 years ago. I was thinking in today's time. 😂😂 Thank you for watching!!!
I don't know if you've realized this yet but the movie is in reality a very very dark comedy. Tarantino himself said he only realized it when John Travolta asked to change the line in the car scene from how it was originally to "Oh man, i shot Marvin in the face" said with about the same annoyance as if he had dropped his donut on the floor. 😅😂
after watching it again I definitely can see that now.
@@sidneyjacques. Don't feel bad. I think this is one that takes several viewings to unpack everything that's going on. Once you do that you see how deeply layered and interwoven the plot and various scenes really are. You can spend pages going into all of the symbolism in the movie. Also you'll notice the pilot that was described for Uma Thurman's character served as the basis for Kill Bill. A team of 5 female agents (read assassin's) each with a deadly specialty. Fox Force Five becomes the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Tarantino and Uma Thurman started laying the basis for Kill Bill right here. And yeah Tarantino has a huge foot fetish. No actress in Hollywood has had her feet filmed more than Uma. Lmao!
"Big shout out to cocaine and heroin!"
(Chef's kiss)
Great timing. Keep on keeping on and keep working on what you're doing here. This is a solid start.
Peace
appreciate that my guy!!
You did a really good job for your first movie reaction!
Thank You!!!
The things that you mentioned that you "don't know" about aren't meant to be known. Nobody knows what ultimately happens to Butch and Jules. The assumption is that they both get to ride off into the sunset with their lives intact, free of danger. That's all that matters, and it matters because they made some smart redemptive choices. Vincent made a few not-so-smart choices and paid for it with his life.
open ended endings can be a toss up, but this was one of the good ones. thanks for watching!!
Judging by stories from Reddit and other forums where people discuss having been shot / stabbed, they describe it generally in one of two ways:
When shot, they feel an incredibly hot burn because of the heated bullet and the pain comes way later.
When getting stabbed they feel it like a dull punch because the shock the body experiences masks the pain.
In both cases the shot / stabbed body part goes limp immediately unless the victim in in high adrenaline fight or flight mode.
Can't say if this is how it is, but a lot of accounts have overlapping similarities.
sounds too painful. once that adrenaline wears off, it has to be the worst feeling ever.
I had a friend get wacked by his ex’s boyfriend. He got shot initially in the hip and adrenaline got him about 100 feet before he collapsed. The next round was in the chest. I doubt he felt that one. RIP buddy.
I'll fill you in, the reason why this is considered a masterpiece, is because it wasnt common that a film would be non linear, QT brought a new style of film making that would inspire loads of different directors to think about movies that would show something out of sequence.
that's a pretty big deal if he inspired nonlinear timeliness in movies. I watched it again and it got a bit better.
yo it sounds strange, but this was Samuel L Jacksons breakout role. Barely anyone knew who he was before this. Its what led to him being the black guy with an attitude era and most likely helping him gain the role against bruce willis in unbreakable. @@sidneyjacques.
The reason why it was non linear, is because QT's first two films were written by 2 people. The first and third story were written by Tarantino and the gold watch was written by a guy called Roger Avary ,,,, i think.... pulling off Blockbuster Video experience here haha.
European and Asian movies had already been doing the non-linear narrative for years.
not many at the time @@skylinerunner1695
great reaction man.. subscribed... keep it up... i like your commentary a lot.. and really good editing... cheers
Thank You!!! I really appreciate it!! 🙏🏿
"Nobody called the cops yet?"
No cell phones. Or at least, rare at that time.
that's true. I wasn't even thinking about the time this was made. just a modern day mindset 😂
good job guy. About 8 minutes in and laughing at your look at the camera when saying, "whats that? flour?"
Does anyone else notice the bullet holes are already in the wall (25:57) before the guys that comes out of the bathroom even starts shooting?
I don’t know is exactly how I felt and how I think everyone felt. I don’t think day one people called it a masterpiece but it got that status overtime. I think it’s so great because it has the unpredictable story that gives you a great first watch. But so many details, moments and dialogue that makes it so rewatchable.
I know how I feel. I've seen the movie multiple times. It would be a masterpiece if you didn't have QT in it saying the N word 10 times a minute. I don't care how many times Samuel L Jackson defends him, that decision by the director to cast himself with an Afam gf and then spout off like that is a complete headscratcher. It doesn't make any sense and isn't even realistic.
I know it's a common theme of his to use that word in his movies, but it definitely is overdone sometimes.
A lot of people called it a masterpiece right off the bat. It is one of the 10 best movies of the 1990s and a top 100 of all time.
@@erikchristensen822 I’ve never heard Samuel L defend him doing it. But he’s said QT ain’t racist and I don’t think he is either.
I saw it when it came out, and people were calling it a masterpiece from day one. And it is a masterpiece.
Tarantino's foot fetish has been talked about from at least the early 2000's when I first heard about it.
That's a cool room, man.
thanks!!! yea it's alright 👍🏿
You had me cracking up when you said, "You got one on heroin, one on coke". I don't know why that was so funny.
That's a dangerous mix. 😂😂😂
Great edits man. Great representation. Subscribed. 🫵
i really appreciate it bro!! Thank You!!
Noone called the cops in the diner because there wasn't a payphone close by. Cell phones were scarce when this movie came out.
I forgot that this movie was back in the 90s. 😂😂
The Green Mile and Schindler's List
Both are on my list for sure. thanks for the recommendations!!
Now way, man. Fries with garlic mayo is fantastic!
I like mayo but on fries, it just seems ridiculous. 😅
I could eat that right now 😋🤣😂
Dutchie here🙋♀️ our mayo is different than the mayo yall got over there.... ours is actually really really good with french fries🙂
Don't think too much with this movie. The best way I can explain what it is... It's like they took a one week section of these connected people's lives and chopped it into pieces and played it out of order. What happens next, that's up to the viewer to decide. Butch gets away and starts a new life or Butch ironically runs into Samuel L Jackson later and dies because he didn't get get the order to call off the hit . You choose.. The volume.. That's all Imma say about that. Outside of that, great reaction.. My first time watching, you do good reactions.
Thank You!! I appreciate it 🙏🏿
Top tier entertainment
Movie went right over his head. Disconnected w reality
Quick suggestion, if movies take over the channel I recommend making a separate channel for gaming. I’m definitely boutta watch those nfl street videos tho🔥💪🏽
I appreciate that bro, i probably will make 2 separate channels but i don't know what i would want my main content to be just yet.
@@sidneyjacques.word. Imma subscribe for sure. I just watched the cartoon tier list and u disrespected the fuck outta ninja turtles 🤣
@@acgthamcGreat advice bc I've really liked his movie reactions so far but not super interested in that other stuff.
Bro, just a heads up. The overall output gain of your channel is a bit quiet for some of us.
I had my device cranked and both you and the movie are pretty quiet.
i realized that once the video went out. it'll be better next time. i hate audio issues.
It's your "what the hell" reaction that you will dwell on. You will think about this movie, and how different it is from what you expect in a movie. And then you will watch it again and really "get" the hype. Good reaction tho.
yea. this movie was really good. all the different timelines being shown in that order was brilliant. Thanks for watching!!
My second film on this channel and another fun reaction by a cool host.
Really enjoyed this reaction. For me the key is in the title: "pulp fiction". He gives you the meaning right in the beginning: a cheap sort of fiction, not made for deepness or art, but just a thrill. It would be used to describe certain kinds of movies and books in the 1940s and 1950s, cheap paperback books that would tell lurid tales of sex, crime and murder. And so: we know going in that this movie should not be taken too seriously or deeply or literally, it's just a wild ride, it doesn't have to be realistic (there are about twenty times that cops would have been called in real life, from the loitering in somebody's apartment building to a busy diner in the middle of the day being held up! It's a complete fake "reality", anything can happen, unlikely characters being in unlikely situations, saying and doing unlikely things....... people can even do cocaine and then want to eat a cheeseburger! Anyways, subscribing! PS: I hope you do Tarantino's NEXT movie, also with Samuel Jackson, his best performance EVER (even he says so): JACKIE BROWN. with Robert De Niro, Pam Greer, Michael Keaton, that's my favorite of all of Tarantio's, the one I return to the most. His first one, RESERVOIR DOGS is also "iconic" and put him on the map right away. (Pulp Fiction is his second movie).
Thanks for the breakdown, it really helps!!! I've already seen reservoir dogs but Jackie brown is on my radar. thanks for watching and subscribing!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Second watch will hook you!
Greatest movie of all time
Classic all over the place movie!!!!😂
yea it was crazy. heard so much about it over the years, I had to see what it was about.
"Triangle" is a good start if you like movies the f*k with your mind.
Ive never been shot. But i have been hit by a school bus, stitches and staples in the head and knee. Knocked unconscious. I didnt feel the pain til the next day. The first day getting sticched up i couldnt take my eyes off the clock in the room as 4 nurses ran all around me doing different things. I think its shock. But i live in chicago and some old friend in unsavory dealing have told me after they was shot that it burns and they can feel the bullet moving. Maybe it depends the spot as well.
i hate that that happened to you. like i said i would never wanna get shot, but ive seen so many movies lately of people getting hit it makes me wonder.
@@sidneyjacques. Heck no bro. I hear for real. And I seen some movies they seem to have a hard time breathing. I know after I was hit I kept asking the nurses do they see my asthma pump because I was on foot when hit. But I remember the one male nurses was like "he's getting air". Man single handily craziest experience in my life. Actually hate walking in front of cars now. Like if I take a Uber and get out I always walk around back lmao. And like big objects lol. I'm looking forward to more of your reactions though for real. That was good one. I watch a lot reactions as well. Not everyone is up there
@@sidneyjacques. I thought about doing reactions for a while now myself especially games but editing seem hard
One theory of the case is this....marcellus had a bandaid on the back of his neck...the case contained his soul. Another was that the case contains the diamonds from the movie reservoir dogs
a soul inside a briefcase is crazy. Marcellus must've been a good person if it was glowing and once he lost it he turned bad.
Ultimately what's in the case is unimportant. Tarantino never specified what was in it. It's basically a McGuffin, a term coined by Alfred Hitchcock to indicate something that exists merely to further the plot along. All that we need to know is that it's something that everyone covets.
@@donpietruk1517I always figured it was the WBA heavyweight belt.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 The contents of the briefcase is for the viewers themselves to decide - that's why it's not shown, Tarantino himself said that at some point since people kept asking what was in the briefcase. So it can be anything - highly valuable, presumably - you think of.
The theory with the band-aid on Marcellus' neck being the point where his soul got sucked out so it could be put in the briefcase is certainly fascinating - who doesn't love some supernatural s*** - but reality is something like the actor having accidentally cut himself shaving his head or the like, so therefore the band-aid, and they simply decided not to try to hide it.
But sure. The briefcase contains the mob boss's soul. That's real cool stuff. Or, a WBA belt, why not. :)
It takes time to absorb the movie
yea. i watched it again, and it grew on me more. I started to understand what was happening with all the events intersecting.
The rest of us have seen it ...and don't know what it's about at all 😂
I've gotten some good explanations on what it's about and it makes since. but on first watch i was lost big time.
25:40 That's the actual end of the movie. ☝
In 1994, $5 is like 3 times the average cost of a milkshake.
I forgot the year this came out while I was watching. Inflation is, in fact, very real.
@@sidneyjacques. just found your channel today. This and the Get Out reaction are really good. Keep up the good work!
Thank You!! It means a lot!! I just started doing these reactions, and I have plenty of room for improvement, but the support like this let's me know I'm on the right track. I appreciate that. 🤞🏾
SUGGESTION: "True Romance" - Tarantino wrote it but did not direct it.
I'll add it to the list. Tarantino is a legend.
I hope you get to watch the next Tarantino film called “Jackie Brown” it’s really good.
It's on my list for sure. Thanks for watching!!
@@sidneyjacques. "Jackie Brown" is amazing. Personally I rate it even higher than Pulp, because it has a cohesive - and truly exciting - plot as well as a truly amazing cast of actors. Pam Grier is so so amazing, truly epic in it.
If you like crime stories/detective yarns, try "L.A. Confidential". Another 1990s modern classic, frickin awesome everything in it, you won't be disappointed.
Or why not be cultural, and watch something set in Europe instead. Try "Ronin", it's an action/car chase/heist movie with brains you might say, it's got De Niro and Sean Bean in it, and a lot of other cool actors as well and a truly high octane story.
@lennyvalentin6485 thanks for the suggestions. I'll add them to the list for sure. thanks for watching!!!!
Good reaction.
We watch you react to our favorite movies. We like to see and hear our favorite parts that make the cut for show. However, it is very hard to watch. When your reactions are 2 to 5 times LOUDER than the parts that you overlay.
We can't hear our favorite parts we want to see. and you react to.
Hope, maybe you can do something about this. Maybe watch and listen to your videos. Without headphones or earbuds. From a different source to see if you understand what I mean. Try to listen to the movie part.
This not meant to be disrespectful to you.
Regards, Rollerball
My bad about the audio. I was so worried about getting the video up i kinda rushed a bit. It'll be better in the future. I appreciate the feedback!!
Shawshank Redemption
It's a prison pocket watch... 😂
it's a booty watch. it killed his grandfather for Christ's sake. 🤣🤣
$5 was a very expensive shake when this came out.
I wasn't even thinking about the year this came out when I said that. I wasn't even born when this came out. 🤣
What were you blathering about? I don't know.
Now you spend hours contemplating what order the events occurred in. Remember, Vincent died…🤔
Jules became Nick Fury.
and a character in every other movie as well. 😂
@@sidneyjacques. One of the Marvel movies has an Easter egg where Nick Fury's tombstone says "The path of the righteous man..." and the Ezekiel whatever chapter from Pulp Fiction.
Q doesn't show all & that's why it's great.
Vincent bitching about staying at Butch"s place & that there's nothing but pop tarts to eat. Marcellus saying, "I'll get us some donuts mofo, now you happy?"
But the real thing is, if Butch didn't kill Vincent then both gangster's would've tracked him down &: killed him.
Vince knew somebody entered while he was in the bathroom.
so many layers in the different timeliness. it's brilliant.
Word to the wise: turn your captions off. Dialogue is meant to be heard not read. Also can spoil surprises in a scene.
French here, mayonnaise on fries is the best thing.
The more times I watch this movie, the more obvious the limits to Travolta's talent. Especially when he's alongside Samuel L. Jackson, he just seems forced with the street lingo, trying to emulate Jackson's ease and natural cool. And his awful wig doesn't help.
Saying you don't know is not an analysis
your video/audio is completely out of sync.
Yea it's all over the place, my bad about that. I was just trying to get the vid up i forgot to balance it out. it'll be better in future videos.
if you are going to react to movies don't say "I don't know" 12 times.
yea it wasn't the best looking back at it. With it being my first movie reaction, there's plenty of room for improvement.
Quite possibly one of the worst reactors on CZcams all he does is complain and complain on storyline and charactet
That's not true, necessarily. The majority of movies I've reacted to I've enjoyed them. "Complain" may not be the right word. If I don't like something, I'll talk about it and give reason why, which I'm allowed to do. It's all subjective at the end of the day.
