You don't even know your grand-great father who dies 200 years ago because he didn't built anything for you or your community.
Do you know how proud you will feel when they tell you that your great-grand father has built a church for the community, do you know the respect your last name will carry?

I can understand the urge to splurge on fancy clothing and shoes (some people love the idea of designer) if I saw millions in my bank account I would probably want some designer in my cupboard instead of what everyone else is wearing (i.e MrP, Jet,etc) since I'd be able to afford walking into those shops. The cars though, yoh I can't understand the need for that many depreciating assets that aren't making me more money - but I guess everyone has a thing.
