    This channel has it all. Tips for all gods animals and owners. See, this is what i trully love about your channel Andy. Man i wish i had seen you 15years ago. I must admit. I have been wasting my time. And i feel my dogs deserves better. I am also happy that you dont always use a Malinois for your vid´s. Your channel is pure gold and is an all around channel with great awesome info for all.

    Love this! Soooo many people give their dog a treat every 20 seconds. I know someone who walks around everywhere with pieces of cheese in their pockets for the dog it’s ridiculous lol

    I do it the same way, but when I start with the command I say “sit” when the puppy's bottom hits the grass

    What a good boy!! Through your instruction and especially on Patreon I am starting to understand how much more dynamic leash pressure is than just pressure to get the dog to come toward me-it’s a game changer!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼 Praising under the chin-this is the beginning of the hold command?

    Great video as always Andy. 😬👍 One question, when your working with Freddy or Jasper you have what looks like a small upside down step stool that you use as a place they start off on. Is that what it is? Can you show it a little closer? I’d like to make something like that for training my pup. I also signed up for your Patreon, great stuff there, thanks as always. Eddie wheels 😬🧑🏻‍🦽👍

    Q. When should i use this method with a slip lead because as ive been healing my dogs on 2 slip leads but they dont always sit next to me especially when the ground is muddy so i have been using this method to get them to sit, hope this is ok!

    Another question and THANK YOU for your time!! To start working on the Stand, should I be putting my hand under his belly, or stepping into him? Position box from the start or incorporate later?🙏

    • @AndyKrueger

    I went through years of training with my dog, our trainer taught us the click and treat method. It worked well for a while but the. I Started to notice she would do her commands without treats or my treats would become boring and she would turn her nose at the treats. We now do therapy work and go to facilities to bring joy to the residents with other dog teams, she is so fixated on every person with treats and I can't draw her attention from them at all. I tell the other owners to not give her treats but they always treat her anyway or go behind my back when I'm not looking. It has become such a problem she becomes completely uncontrollable and has gone back to pulling on the leash/etc.

    I just got a puppy so smart and won't do anything unless there is a treat there. I don't like it. They are concentrating on the treat and not thinking about what they're doing.

  • @craighvac1808
    @craighvac1808 Před 7 měsíci

    This is why you don't train with treats to begin with, there is no need for treats, use praise by petting or toys, much better long term obedience

    • @Shaz-gq7pv
      @Shaz-gq7pv Před 3 měsíci

      The best way is to correct them when they do wrong I don't use treats praise or toys my dogs know to do what they're told or there will be consequence. I don't fuss praise them for doing what they're told because they're only doing what they're supposed to be doing disobeying is not an option
