I always thought that. Was it actually stronger with silencer or did it just feel that way? Surely the damage wasn’t nerfed with silencer it either had to be the same or even more powerful. I couldn’t tell

Hands down, the most effective weapon in the game. Here’s why:
- Great iron sights
- SMG mobility
- 32-round magazine
- Plays well with any red perk
- Low recoil
- No silencer penalty
- Popularity makes it easy to find ammo
It’s fun to run other weapons for sure, but this weapon is ubiquitous for all the right reasons!
The ump45 for COD and the aek-971 for Battlefield
Here's what beats the UMP outright. Commando knife and some shotguns, both limited by range. Snipers, from long ranges so long you just literally can't see your enemy (only on some maps is this even possible). Other than that, you are never outgunned. It's beautiful 🤩

Another commonly over looked point is it's slow rate of fire.
Of course, that affects recoil, but you could kill more enemies without reloading. Helped you not miss as much!
And it hits like a 7.62 while firing .45
I would enjoy seeing you make a series where you try to unlock every title. There could be multiple episodes and I think it would mix up your usual Nuke challenges.

The god set up in MW2 was the Umper Dumper with Rangers, I was unstoppable in 2009 lol. That was one of the last call of dutys i could stay up for 12 hours playing and have fun the entire time. Me and my buddy Foghatt got a nuke on Trailer Park S&D one of the most memorable moments I've had on Cod. By far the best Call of Duty ever made.
I agree, nostalgia is so real with this one. The original cod 4 led me to MW2 and I’ll never look back. Best cod hands down. They’re making a mistake catering to the kids who want “new” cods because if they brought back this, it be a HUGE success
PP2000 with extended mag is the most underrated secondary. Basically a backup SMG
You could remake every video on this channel 5000 times and I would watch everyone… please never stop with the MW2 content

I never got into using the UMP45 or similar guns. I was always the guy who had the RPD with fmj and some other attachment. My other gun to use was the EBR.
On an unrelated note the UMP is just a really cool looking gun. Beefy, but kind of short, almost like a rifle with the power of 45. Perfect SMG

Imagine this, coming home from a stressful day at school on a fall day. No ones home, MW2 in the system ready to load up. playing MP with some buddies, the sound of the UMP without silencer firing in background. When they get offline you put in some headphones, play some 2000s hits and just vibe and play. No worries, no stress, no skill based matchmaking. Just you the game, some tunes and grinding till you get that 10th emblem… so nostalgic. I miss those days.

Honestly miss when they had pro perks. It was fun grinding them out and there was more incentive to use a variety of perks. It also gave players something else to grind other than weapons and such. I wonder why cod shied away from pro perks

If you like trying out different/unique attachments, try the f2000 with acog. I know it sounds bad with the recoil, but I picked one up one time and finished out my nuke with it. Burst firing it was actually filthy, holding fire down, not so much.

Stopping Power has no effect on the UMP. It's base damage is enough to be a 3 shot kill w or w/o stopping power.
Definitely wasting a perk if you choose stopping power lol

Honestly try this out for a very fun class, AK47, marathon, lightweight and rapid fire. I used to love using this back in the day everyone thought I was crazy, they weren't wrong I was an absolute mad man 🤣 seriously though it worked, you can swap rapid fire or marathon if you 're running out of ammo too quick
