To this day, Clue is still one of my favorite movies of all time. Any time Tim Curry's name is mentioned they tend to bring up Rocky Horror or It , but i truly think his role in Clue is highly underrated.

I love the movie CLUE! I finally bought a copy of it and there’s several different ending options. It’s a great rainy day kind of movie and I always watch it around October. One of the most fun New Year’s Eve parties I ever went to was a CLUE game party. We all had to come in character and remain in character throughout the night. I got to be the millionaire’s much younger mistress and dressed in tons of jewelry and a fancy dress. I even put on a British accent for the night and, no, I was not the killer! Haha

I remember when Clue was in theaters. There are 3 endings, and if I recall correctly each theater received a different one (so all showings at one theater would have the same ending). I remember friends at school talking about which ending they saw, and where, and going to see it multiple times in various locations to try and see all the endings. Then when it came out on video, it included all 3 endings with Tim Curry splitting each with one with something like "OR, it could have happened this way!". It was a fantastic gimmick. It may not have been the best movie in terms of story and acting etc, but it was very entertaining and one of the most memorable movies from the 80s for me.

The Witch House in Beverly Hills is owned by real estate agent Michael Libow "real estate agent to the stars." He had to totally renovate the inside before moving in because it was used as an office at the movie studio and not a liveable house. There are at least a couple short older video tours of the inside on CZcams. Most videos are other vloggers of the outside, but I'm sure if you search, you'll be able to find the inside tours. It's been probably 3 or 4 years since I've seen them. In one of the videos he says he does do Halloween candy for kids. On Halloween he has to hire private security to direct traffic, and cars are lined up for many blocks.

When I bought it in the 70s, I smoked a little weed, played side 1, then played side 2, then played them both again and... I heard an entirely different side 2. After a bit of WTF, I tried setting the stylus down again and again and realized there were two tracks, side by side, making double tracks for side 2. Check the Wikipedia page on it.

Always sad when a place burns down. As a kid I sooooooo wanted to live in the clue house, of course then I didn't know that scenes were filmed in different locations. But now after seeing the witch house, I'm torn between witch (giggity) place I'd rather live. Maybe live in the clue mansion in the spring and summer and the witch house as a fall and winter retreat. 🙂

"Twin Peaks" (original run) shot a lot in Franklin Canyon. You were right above "Glastonbury Grove." (where they staged the ring of trees)

Love Clue. I wish they had at least tried rebuilding the original. Of course, based on photos of the original house, I understand part of the house was built up on screen to be more imposing than the original.

Your nature tunnel is a v. smol 'hollow way' :) These are ancient paths where the footfall has lowered the road with hedges and trees curving around to create a tunnel.

This is one of my favorite movies, the only other movie that I watch more is "Transylvania Twist" with its chees ball humor, and double fake-out intros before the movie story begins. Much like 'Clue' it has lots of visual gags, and puns. But in a more B-movie style, where else can you see Freddy, Jason, and Leather face all chase after the same woman at the same time? {They didn't stand a chance against her...;} Just like Clue it also had deleted scenes if you watched the HBO version, at first I thought they were bonus features, but just scenes taken out for the HBO version, like a song called "Think of the Royalties". Clue also had a deleted ending that is in both book versions. Wadsworth poisons everyone and gets attacked by a dog {or dogs} in the car. It also had the Mrs. Peacock ending where she is shot by the chief., instead of heard saying "Get your hands off me, I'm a Senator's wife!"
