Dr. Wilson Aronlith Jr. Presentation on Navajo Foods (In Navajo)

On April 6, 2017, Dr. Wilson Aronlith Jr. presented information on traditional Navajo foods at the Dine' Bich'iiya' Summit at Dine' College in Tsaile, Arizona.
His presentation, which was delivered in Navajo, provided a culmination of Navajo philosophy and history with regard to food. Dr. Aronlith is a Navajo Philosophy instructor at Dine' College.

Oo' Diilaah! Knowledge. Nizhonii. We long for these teachings every day. We are hungry for these sacred teachings. I have to say that some elders' teachings are much needed. His teaching is making us wholesome in all ways. We must continue to have DCC to lead on with more talks like this.

I wish I had my great grandmother here still. Shes the only one that loved us enough to give us her time to educate us on our history and world views. Unfortunatley she passed when I was young and since then I always appreciate it when elders give me the same kind of lessons and advice as she did. Its sad to think that generation is soon gonna pass from this crazy world that needs its knowledge and guidance.

I really wish they had better mic quality. Like a special mic for the camera and the other that he is using for the public. I can't hear most of the Navajo words he is saying, but, I love his teachings.

My mom got after me when I introduced my wife and said she's my girlfriend. She immediately stopped me and said "hold on son why did you say that. Your living with her, you're making a life with her! She's your wife! Only if you're playing then she's a girlfriend. I don't ever want to hear you say that again!" And from that day on I said this is my wife. And my life has been everything I ever wanted. 😇
