A beautiful, deeply moving portrayal of a life lived with passion, courage, and dedication to the truth in nature, as he experienced and knew it. Thankyou.

America’s Van Gogh, I think I’m moved more by Walter’s art than by Vincent’s. After discovering his genius I never looked at the homeless vagabond, the vagrant, the lost souls of the mentally ill in the same way ever again, for you never know the downtrodden’s story. You never know what beauty lies hidden behind their sorrowful eyes and tattered clothing. What a gift he was and will forever be.

Very well said! His life is proof positive of the truthfilled old adage "Never judge a book by its cover."

Thank you for this documentary. He was a troubled man and magnificent artist. Even as I looked on my computer, I could feel the raw emotion of love and respect for nature.

Thanks for this! How did I never know of Walter until a few weeks ago? There is another great bio produced by Mississippi Public Television and shown on PBS recently. But thank you for sharing this. I greatly appreciate it!😺

I think Walter Anderson is as important as Mozart or Van Gogh. I just got back from the museum in Ocean Springs where he painted the walls of the civic center. it's spellbinding.
