- We have had access to a very sensitive jobsite for an extensive period during which we could record our flagship crane the Terex ® CC 8800-1 TWIN in action at an ultra large scale construction project. Of course this took place in the scorching heat of Qatar, because no challenge is big enough for our cranes, let alone the CC 8800-1 TWIN. Really breathtaking.
It exists! I didn't think anyone actually owned and operated the crane, nice to see it in action.

I got to sit in the cabin of the first Demag 8800 Twin that Al Jaber purchased , this was in their Abu Dhabi yard. They worked with Terex over several years to design the capability of this crane. It is a stunning piece of engineering, I was working on the Al Raha Beach project at the time, and Al Jaber were gracious enough to allow a group of construction and safety managers a close look over the crane. I can still remember it clearly. Al Jaber are a first rate outfit and it is good to see their continued growth and success.

Liebherr have the equivalent crane : LR 13000 - lifts abouts the same weight without derrick counterweight

Terex crane sales were down 18% in 2014 and down 7% in 2015 - Too much "reliability", too much "perfection" probably - Nice try though ...
Infandous Ktenology But why did Mammoet buy a 13000? As far as i can recall more projects have been completed by the 13000 than the Twin. The LR 13000 has a higher loadmoment than the CC8800-1 TWIN actually.

will you guys ever have conrad make a model of this? they did the regular cc8800 as well as the cc8800 with boom booster. shouldn't be that hard to go to next level? ;)
I agree that your crane is very strong but the error somtimes not the crane or operator good measure and possition and and calculation of the load and attachment
I want to hire a Terex CC 8800 to pluck ash gourds from my home rooftop. The ash gourds are ready for harvesting....

what is the capacity of twin vs boombooster?
Around 1600 tons for boom booster and 3200 tons for twin both in SSL configuration (156meters) - Boom booster is meant to reinforce high length boom in petrochemical plants for example, twin is meant for all kinds of heavy heavy loads.
Would have been better if title read "suits talking about our company". Too much nonsense and not enough of the actual heavy lifting.
