Here in the low desert we might get those kinda rains 2 times a year in the Colorado River Basin. In our area we have had 10 months between rains at times. The Humidity flys over us and tags the higher elevations. And being Lower is hotter. Our average temperature is 10 to 15 degrees hotter than Kingman and Las Vegas. In the 44 years I have lived here I have seen snow on the ground twice and on once with a covering. I live a half mile from the Colorado River in Mohave county.

Please please please look into digging swales on the property!
It takes only 4 years after a swale is dug for a spring to form. It could be a great long term solution to your water storage

thanks for sharing. If ya have a second, how long does that amount of water last there, and what do you end up using it all for?

How much did you pay for the land?
