This was so helpful. I was able to change my car battery with ease. Clear instructions and very simple. Thank you❤️
Thank you for your great video, you explained it very well and made it very easy to understand. Most annoying thing was un screwing that nut with the spanner
Just as easy as you made out, never touched a car battery before but only took 5 minutes!
Just saved me a fitting fee at Halfords, thanks man!
Thx for that. It save me time and proud 😂 hi from Poland 🇵🇱
Thank you mate very helpful
Excellent video, not sure the pitched voice was necessary but good all the same lol
Excellent video, many thanks.
Thanks bro
I saw somewhere that when you take the battery out it resets codes….. would that damage the car or? What are these codes…?
It does if you leave it off for a long time but only some cars and replacing battery shouldn’t damage anything unless fitting battery incorrectly can cause ecu damage. New cars are little complicated now so you gotta be careful when changing battery on new cars and always double check if you got the right battery for the car I.e. start stop batteries are different to standard batteries.
5:16 the nut of my one is stuck to the bolt so when i spin the nut the bolt spins as well. Any tips on what to do
did you ever figure this out mate?
My relatives corsa D 1.4 got 13.3V reading from alternator while engine running and not much of a change when under load . Any idea ?
sounds like your alternator might be starting to fail , you should be getting around 14.4 volts under normal conditions.
@@brucewayne7838 thanks thats the thing , it was 13.4 idling and it was just sitting two weeks. Ive charged the car battery with victron charger and now it idles at 13.9 with already headlights on
@@viliambena6767 have you had the battery tested recently ? you might also benefit from a new battery if it is a few years old,.
@@brucewayne7838 yes ive bought some ancel red one and tested it around 12V and 60% and said charge and retest, after charging its holding around 12.5V for 15 hours , but it still says 70% recharge . It does it to my 80ah BMW agm battery as well, but the charger starts at 3ah and stays in float 0.2ah charge . Both are 2 years old exide batteries. The Corsa D now lost All warning sounds like blinkers, leaving the lights on, parking sensors. It All happened since battery got empty that not even door locks opened and its still goes
@@viliambena6767 12.5 volts is healthy for a battery and it should hold that charge for a couple of weeks. if it is dropping then the battery needs renewing, if it is a battery that you can open on top , try checking the level in each cell and make sure that they are covered as even one that is low can result in problems, i would put a new battery on it and see what happens, a bad battery can make the car do strange things, maybe try a new one and see what happens. you might have to reset some of the settings on the corsa, like the door locking, signals and the ecu will take a few miles to adjust itself but that is what i would try first.
