Your children are going to look back on all these memories with such joy and fondness. I'm the baby of nine and didn't get to spend as much time with my dad as my older siblings because he was a contractor and travelled a lot for work. One thing he would do though is take us on road trips when he was on vacation. A special bond my dad and I have is our love of the outdoors. He has albums full of photos from national parks. That's one of my goals. Lord willing, I can take my dad on those trips as he gets older.

Yes he was and he was doing anything to avoid the walk. Kids get lazy, adults get😅 lazy. We all have preferances. It's not a big deal. People often always wanna defend him just coz he sticks out as being his own person. Make it seem like he's being misunderstood. Sometimes he really isn't, we have to be okay with seeing someone being their own person or not fitting in without feeling the need to say the " positive " unnecessarly. I feel like that results in kids having victim mentality instead of proudly knowing they've just always had their own vibe. We all have "negatives" when it comes to teamwork and even personality. He just has his own vibe and isn't afraid to say out loud or act out but we don't have always find deep explainations or create a dialogue about how his parents mis-understand him or whatever. They know him, I've watched him since he was a kid. He often likes to go against the wave. Only he will be able to explain one day. Somehow feel like the comments not gaslight his parents all the time when it comes to him.
As a kid I sometimes didn't want to do things either. But the tough love or calling me lazy didn't make me want to do the activity or task anymore and then I felt like my parents were mad at me. So a hug and love ya you can help and went a little further for me to do stuff that wasn't in my comfort zone.

Priceless. Mama earth all day, everyday. She is so fine, vast, full of amazing treasure for us to enjoy, not to steal from her and destroy her precious body. She too is a living soul and deserves our love, respect, and honor. Peace & Love.
Oof I feel the tension in this one. Our fam leans to the side of stopping for rocks every 10 steps. We hope that our kids will feel excited and enjoy the outdoors rather than have to make it to a point of interest that they have no interest in. But we are consistently thinking about work ethic and not quitting/getting distracted. It's the parenting balance man!

I walk every Saturday morning with "Firewalkers" at 5:00 a.m. We usually do four miles and have done as many as 12 miles. keep as it and thanks for sharing.

Love the outdoors and nurturing the kids to fall in love with God‘s creation. From one outdoors Mama to another, they have these female urination devices ($10 on Amazon) or as my family affectionately calls it “the tinkler” that give us ladies the same freedoms going #1 as the boys. It is a must have for me when playing outdoors. Traveling, all day on the boat, or pretty much any public toilet situation. Worth every penny.
