Thanks for sharing the method for drilling into ceramics! I have planters which I really like, but they have no drainage holes. I have large rocks in the bottom, but as someone with a “black-thumb”, I want to give the poor plants all the advantages that I can!

Another tip for doing the hole through ceramic or stone is to use an old flipflop (thong for us Aussies). Drill a hole through it with the same drill bit and hold that in place. The drill bit then can’t move sideways :)
If you have to drill a thicker piece, definitely use water to cool the drillbit 👍 For example through thicker marble…
