SYWELL 2024 Part 1 | A flightline walk TO REMEMBER! WARBIRDS GALORE! | 23.06.2024

Last weekend saw a ‘new kid on the block’ to the UK airshow circuit, in the form of a warbird themed offering at Sywell Aerodrome. This was a really awesome and refreshing airshow that really made an impression and I hope its here to stay!
One of the highlights before the flying programme kicked off, was being allowed to walk around the aircraft and get up close, speak to pilots and see these old flying machines in all their glory, so immerse yourself in the highlights from the flightline walk during the morning. Soak up the atmosphere and ambience of this fantastic airshow, wondering around the site prior to the main flying displays later on the Sunday afternoon, as pilots prepared their aircraft and shared their passion for aviation and warbird history with visitors.
From The Fighter Collection of Spitfires and Hurricanes, heritage American Mustangs and Corsairs, to the immaculate aircraft of The Flying Bulls, period reenactors, an epic collection of Formula 1 racing and rally cars and the C-47 Skytrain “Placid Lassie” open to the public and visiting over from the United States of America as part of its D-Day 80th anniversary tour of Europe, there were so many awesome exhibits that visitors were able to get up close and personal to during this brilliant airshow!
