Robert. Only just come across your CZcams channel. Fascinating film. I remember the fuss when the new bridge over the M60 at Brinnington was built. The Governing Body of the school gave permission for 10% of the school playing field to be used for construction purposes but residents had no idea as to how huge the bridge was going to be and caused quite a fuss. All to no avail. Thanks again. You brought back many happy memories (I'll let you off the "music" though)

The music is terrible on some (i originally made them for my own viewing).Re the school you would not believe how many houses are on that site now, quite sad really.are you in touch with any of the old staff? it would be nice to know how they are all doing (may have asked you this before?). All the best

@@SuperRobo2010, I had heard that the school building was due to be demolished so made a visit to have one last look. After working in a place for 23 years (and for the last two years as Acting Headteacher) it is possible to have some affection for it. Unfortunately, I was just too late as the entire building had gone. I still have contact with one or two staff but you may not know all of them Mr Limbert, Mrs Crossan, Mr Nolan. Regrettably a few have died (Mr Maddocks, Mr Lester, Mr Heginbotham, Miss Vidal, Mr Cross). Hope you and your family are all well. So good to see all these photos of yours (and not just Brinny!) Best wishes, Maurice

@@TURNPENNEY i had heard of a few RIPs i think Mr Eastwood (games)was another, Mr Limbert was our head of year i left in 79, he was a good teacher , to be fair i dont think i had any issues with any teachers,it was a different world back then we were "rum buggers" but most of us knew were to draw the line. Mr Plant and Mr Dolan were two others who were fair and treated us like adults. great days. i am hoping to do a photo shoot of Stockport on Sunday and may just trot up to Brinny (my Dad still lives up there) and get a few so keep an eye on the Stockport page. All the best
