Rengoku's route would be the most epic, because in addition to what was mentioned in the video, add his death at the hands of Akaza, Rengoku's death would be much more painful in that sense, because the relationship between Tanjiro and Rengoku would be much closer, it would hurt more and it would motivate Tanjiro to be better
He would probably rise the ranks to hashira very quickly in that scenario
To be honest, I think the Mitsuri route would end in the Rengoku route. At some point both her and Tanjiro will realize that her Love Breathing technique isn’t suited for him. Since Mitsuri is one of the newest Hashiras and has direct connections with Rengoku, she’ll most likely contact him and ask him for help with training Tanjiro. This leading to Tanjiro realizing Flame Breathing suits him way better

honestally i have a lot of problems with how they go like for example if tanjiro was going out to hunt demons by himself he would mostlikely find a slayer if hes you know hunting demons
also for the shinobu route they would not even try to teach him insect since just like kanao they werent sutided f or it and would probally have him learn flower breathing

I agree the same with the insect hashira. She a scientist and after seeing that his progress isn’t yielding satisfactory result she’d likely try to teach him flower breathing
My biggest problem with those scenarios is that you assume in some of them that Tanjiro would just have learn the breathing technique of the Hashira who help him ( Mitsuri and Shinoubu) but since those 2 use a deviation of another breathing style like (flame for love, and flower or Water for the Insect style).
Just like Kanao didn't learn the insects breathing but the flower one, he would probably have learned another style more suitable for him.

Also, in the Sanemi version, I think Tanjiro would've a chance to survive by remembering the Hinokami kagura sooner, maybe against a random demon who was just about to finish another demon slayer, Tanjiro would've stole his blade on the floor and in a critical moment he would've use the Hinokami kagura.
Because this Tanjiro has lost everything in 1 day, just like Yorouichi, he would have nothing else but slay demon and take revenge.
I just feel like he can't go down so easily and would've been just like Yorouichi. Although I don't think he would've slaughtered any demon like Sanemi did to his sister, for example, he would've maybe listened to Tamayo story.

The thing is, Giyuus crow is very old, which is why he arrived late. So, if the others were sent instead of him, they would have most likely came on time, encountering Muzan and probably dying.

Mitsuri would probably train Tanjirou in the basics of flame breathing after seeing hes not very compatible with love breathing, then send him to Rengoku to learn more of flame. Since Mitsuri herself isnt very good with flame she probably couldn't teach more than the basics and maybe the first form.

Obviously, since her school would lean towards Flame than Love Breathing. Even if she doesn't contact Rengoku (which is more likely), she would've taught Tanjiro the basics i.e Flame Breathing 💀

Would tanjiro have discovered Sun Breathing easier/quicker if he learned Flame Breathing? Or would he have never discovered it at All?
@@spydr1919 He can still discover Sun Breathing because he learned all of that from his father so technically, his father is his first breathing master.
@@Unforgiving_Eye yeah, but Part of Tanjirou learning Sun Breathing was due to the fact he realised he was too weak for Water Breathing/Or Water Breathing was too weak for him, thus leading to him having flashbacks/learning sun breathing
I think with both Mitsuri and Shinobu, they would both realize their respective breathing styles are not suited for Tanjiro and send him off to another cultivator. Mitsuri would likely send Tanjiro to Rengoku, considering she, herself, was taught by Rengoku.
Also, through Rengoku, Tanjiro would learn of sun breathing and it's connection with hinokami kagura much faster. Rengoku had read all the archives of flame breathing and likely knows quite a bit about sun breathing.
I agree, but I'm also thinking that tanjiro might realize that himself, and create his own breathing style instead, or at least awaken the sun breathing

@@INZANE1919 That’s true- I had forgotten about that. However, it’s clear that there were archives about Sun breathing that Kyojuro Rengoku’s father read before ripping the archives up.
So, it’s still possible that in the “trained by Rengoku” universe, Tanjiro asks Rengoku about sun breathing, Rengoku looks at the archives for sun breathing, and finds the archives about sun breathing before Rengoku’s father ripped them up.

I'd like to think that in the scenarios where nezuko dies in front of tanjiro, he will most likely think that the demon slayers were the enemy, and then tries to find them leading him to meet the upper or lower moon demons and possibly becoming one, then as he rose through the ranks, he would eventually learn that muzan killed his family and turned nezuko into a demon and then tries to flee and he could meet either tamayo or zenitsu and inosuke, leading them back to the path of the OG story, only this time he is a demon
If I'm honest, the fact Nezuko and him survived Giyu was plot, so with the exception of perhaps the Snake Hashira, they'll probably walk away alive from the others as well. Obanai is the one exception as while most hashira hate demons with a burning passion, he's the only one whose backstory explores how a demon can use people like tools, so he wouldn't see Nezuko defending her brother as just that, but as a demon protecting their investment.
Sanemi to me would be the most surprising as his backstory is similar to his, but they differ in that his mother slaughtered his family after turning while here, Nezuko is defending her brother from him. Such a showing of familiar love might just prove enough to convince him to spare them, though I doubt he would do anything more then bring them in as he wouldn't offer them training, and be more concerned with confirming with the rest of them that Nezuko is legit. Afterwards, perhaps another pillar like Rengoku or Gyomei would step in to train Tanjiro, with Mitsuri aiding if Rengoku takes him under his wing, helping him learn to be more flexible then Rengoku.

eh i think with Rengoku it depends on the circumstances. In that instance Rengoku arrived with just the knowledge that a demon slayer was travelling with a demon and thereby breaking Corps rules and needing to be punished. In the scenerio the video presented, Tanjiro is still a civilian, meaning Rengoku isnt going to raise his blade towards him. More than likely Rengoku would try to explain to Tanjiro what Nezuko has become when Tanjiro tries to protect her, thus giving the siblings time to explain. At that point i believe things would go down similarly how they did with Giyuu.

Actually Mitsuri does have a lot of physical strength due to her muscle density and Love breathing might get him a bit further than stated in the video.
I don’t think so. Yeah Mitsuri is very strong but that has nothing to do with her breathing style which focuses more on Mitsuri’s dexterity and unpredictable whip sword.
@Hyper Dreamer actually mitsury has a muscles density 8 times that of a normal person which is the only reason she can use love breathing so she has to use both her amazing flexibility and strength

I think there is a chance Uzui let's them live. At least as long as he doesn't insta-kill her like Daki before Tanjiro notices him. Assuming Tanjiro can at least shield her, Tengen certainly wouldn't attack Tanjiro and if Tanjiro can at least buy enough time to get a word in, I think Uzui has more empathy than at first glance, even if he isn't optimistic and has no faith in Nezuko, I still feel he wouldn't murder her.
I don’t think that that actually would’ve happened because one he uses a completely different weapon so he wouldn’t have had to change how he’s attacking based on that. He’s also the fastest so it’s more than likely Tanjiro would not have been fast enough to get in front of her.

If Nezuko try’s to protect Tanjiro then Tokito man might get some memories of when his brother shielded him for a Demon attack and might view himself as the demon killing 2 sibling like he’s the bad guy now

If Tanjiro and Nezuko had met Rengoku that day instead, yes he would spare them after hearing their story not just because he has a good heart and thinks the strong should protect the weak. But because of Tanjiro's love and resolve to protect Nezuko, which if you think about it lines up with the Flame Hashira's own resolve to protect his little brother. So yes, I think they'd survive the encounter and it would change the story. Rengoku would more than likely survive past the Mugan train arc and Tanjiro would learn about Sun breathing soon than he does
I feel like tengen would be the only one to kill nezuko yet take tanjiro to the demon slayer corps wanting to help him get revenge for his family's sake instead of just leaving tanjiro to despair on his own.
Honestly I feel like Tengen would spare Nezuko after seeing Tanjiro protect her and possibly after seeing her protect him. Remember Tengen was a big brother too and knows what it’s like to lose family, so he’d probably hear out Tanjiro big brother to big brother, and in some twisted way of making amends for his past sins he spares Nezuko and brings Tanjiro into the Demon Slayer Corp

i think what wasn’t fully considered for sanemi is that it was his mother that became a demon and killed his siblings. while i don’t think that would change the outcome, i think it would slightly change how empathetic he is to tanjiro exclusively

I think the love hashira would spare nezuko as well as tengen , he even saw nezuko out of control but he didn’t kill her he was just disappointed that they nearly lost and went against there word or no hurting ppl , but he does listen and still believes in them
That is true tengen didnt think much of when nezuko lost control and counted on tanjiro to get her back to normal
that was after a lot of working together and after they had to prove themselves, tengen is the fastest (or second fastest technically) hashira so he could just slice nezuko before even hearing any of the stories of what tanjiro asked
during that arc he KNEW tanjiro could handle nezuko and he knew that she wouldnt intentionally harm anyone, if he encountered them like giyuu did itd just be "oh a demon, ok cool"

Love breathing uses strength... It's literally said in the manga, the reason that it's only mitsuri's breathing style is because she uniquely is extremely strong therefore it would be impossible for tanjiro to even learn Love breathing and even if he did it would be the opposite as it requires a ton of strength.

That is also a good point I think that him lacking flexibility would make it hard for him to truly learn love breathing not his strength. His strength will be fine, but the boy is not flexible in a while. Maybe you could train it. He’s already 14 at that point and he has dense muscles but not dense enough so it might be harder for him to learn love breathing because he’s not flexible enough.

Tbf Muichiro was not yet a pillar at this point, and it also depends on how his personality would have been at the time he met them. If he was on Yuichiro's autopilot mode, he'd have other killed them, or more likely; reawakened his memories and old personality when he saw the siblings try to protect one another.
If he was with his original compassionate personality; no worries.

Since Insect Breathing, as you stated, is only suited for someone like Shinobu, she would also know this fact and would most likely find another person to personally train Tanjiro and teach him a breathing style that would suit him.

My unpopular opinion, Tanjiro will make it out alive to the end of story as Mitsuri's student. Here, your honor, I present my cases:
-) Love Breathing Style suited perfectly with Tanjiro's kind personality;
-) Love breathing style also requires raw power. By practicing it, Tanjiro wouldn't just increase his strength, but also his agility and dexterity;
-) Tanjiro then imitate Mitsuri's fighting style, using a long ranged major whiplash katana;
Oh, and don't forget about Tanjiro's special power:
-) Plot armor;
-) A combination of Hinokami Kagura + Mitsuri's fighting style would be a lot deadlier;
-) Plot armor.
Also, I'd like to imagine he'd have a silly "flexibility contest" with Inosuke and maybe Zenitsu brags about how Tanjiro being "the luckiest guy" for being trained by a female Hashira.

@@TheBlunder-00.0 Yeah man but here, I tried to make a unique different scenario where Tanjiro became not just a strong slayer, but also an agile flexible one, adapted to Love Breathing before eventually move on to Hinokami Kagura like in the canon.
Also, him using a long ranged blade + Hinokami Kagura would make him more effective at delivering and dealing damage imo
it suits his personality but not his goal, he only became a demon slayer to kill Muzan, sun breathing is one of the only breathing styles that can actually kill Muzan. love breathing wouldn’t work for him because he wouldn’t work on physical strength as much (Mitsuri has 8x more muscle density so her strength is natural not gained) so he’d just be a lot more flexible than physically strong. You had really good points though
@@SkullzSkele Thanks man, writing Tanjiro learning alternate breathing other than Flame Breathing is surely challenging. It's true that Love Breathing, like Water Breathing isn't the goal for Tanjiro as other breathing style only serves as an aid for him until he unlock Sun Breathing.
But I still think that Love Breathing, instead of hindering the growth of his strength, will increase his strength and flexibility on the same amount.
I would also like to add a point:
Even if he isn't able to use love breathing he could learn flame breathing through mitsuri's connection to rengoku
I think if Sanemi killed nezuko tanjiro would hate both demons and demon slayers for them both being so ruthless and mindless to killing (in his eyes) and eventually would either die or be greeted by Muzan where he would try to tell him about how “ a demon slayer only kills and doesn’t think about what they are doing, they killed your sister and everyone turned a blind eye” this would be Muzan trying to convince tanjiro to become a demon to see if he would be able to become a part of the twelve kizuki.

The only thing is that tanjiro wouldnt simply learn the breath of the hasira that saves him. Too many of the breathing styles are very specific to the user, like love or insect breathing. The only option i see maybe happening is Flame breathing, as you mentioned, since he is naturally fit for sun breathing.
Ruthlessness is not the same as strength, gotta remember that. Tanjiro is not ruthless, he's just decisive enough to protect people.

I don't think love breathing requires only flexibility, some of kata's are almost the same as fire breathing's where you need to put a lot of strength into the move - which Mitsuri also has. Also imagine trying to cut a rock or a tree with wiggly sword, you'll need more power and control over your moves to perform it well. Another person who's physically able to use love breathing could've been Inosuke since he's like Mitsuri both strong and flexible, but it's just not his way to fight
Love breathing requires a ridiculous amount of strength AND flexibility, which is the exact reason Tanjiro couldn’t learn it. Mitsuri’s body is 8x more dense than normal humans so she is naturally hella strong. Tanjiro would either have to go through the most painful training of his life to even attempt to learn Love breathing lol

@@natedelaney3416 Sun breathing because this guy forgot that you never call Flame breathing "Fire" breathing because the series is set in Japan and "Fire" breathing is pronounced the same as Sun breathing. There is a reason its specifically called FLAME breathing and he forgot it.

Mitsuri’s physical strength is overrated lol, people don’t realize other hashiras don’t have average strength like simps (not referring to you as a simp, you’re not as bad as most people estimate her raw strength) assume. She is only stronger than Shinobu, Obanai and Muichiro in raw strength
She does rely some on strength but she relies more on her flexibility and her attack speed.

I'm pretty sure that Mitsuri would just tell Tanjiro he wouldn't be able to use Love Breathing effectively and send him to Rengoku. She knows she is basically the only person able to use such style because of her unique body, plus she was always quite close to Rengoku, being one of his students herself.

He's actually a vey soft hearted soul, in the manga when Genya dies vs kokushibo, it was revealed that Sanemi only acted cold toward his brother so he wouldn't become a demon slayer. He wanted Genya to start a family and to give them what "Sanemi couldn't give his mom, and siblings". We also see I believe like the second last chapter he makes up with Nezuko and sees Genya in her. He patted her head and said goodbye.
Overall he's a very misunderstood character. He might've even spared Nezuko (low chance) due to Giyu not having too much sympathy either, like he stabbed nezuko as well, (due to his past) spolier again
Giyuu's sister died protecting him from a demon (on the former night of her wedding btw) and nobody helped him in his town or village, I don't rember exactly where he lived, but he went onto train under Mr. Urokodaki and Lose Sabito, and he felt like he wasn't a true hashira because he didn't really do anything in FInal Selection and let Sabito Die.
But Sanemi would've definetly helped Tanjiro. I mean his backstory is literally so similar to Tanjiros', it would feel like bad writing if he didn't help him. Yeah Tanjiro could still be mad at him but Sanemi will just tell him to shut up or even tell him what happened to him. If tanjiro becomes his Tsugoku, he would be much stronger, because during the Hashira training arc (spoiler)
He was able to cut tanjiro's ear with a kick. A KICK. And he also basically demolished the corps members to train them. His training was the most ruthless. For the sake of the story and you say Tanjiro manages to get through with his training, he'll probably save a lot more people (especially in Final Selection). He could probably defeat Rui b himself, especially if he combines wind breathing with sun, since sun is similar to fire, and wind makes fire strong (when applied right). Tanjiro would just likel be more stronger consistently. Maybe it's too much, but he could potentially even aid Rengoku to fight Akaza, mabe there wouldn't be a Donut.
Overall some of this is speculation, but he would definetly help Tanjiro and he would be stronger faster (not sure by how much tho).

My thoughts:
Gyomei - probably lives, kinder Hashira
Rengoku - Would not hesitate. Nezuko dead.
Mitsuri - Lives
Obanai - instadeath, both siblings, his background would probably urge him to strike down Tanjiro as well.
Sanemi - You know... I think this one is closer to a 'maybe' than others, but still likely ends in Nezuko dead. I'm going to go on a weird route, and say, Nezuko dead, Tanjiro still trained by him.
Shinobu - Mixed, she offered to spare demons before, but I'm not sure she'd have the mental fortitude to actually go through with it. She might do it on a whim, but really, really does hate demons.
Muchiro - Would not hesitate.

I think Tanjiro using an axe would be more ok to begin with since he's already comfortable with an axe right from the start. However it would hamper him greatly when he starts trying to use sun breathing since sun breathing was done with a sword. So he'd have better initial results, but would probably plateau around the time of fighting Rui and then either have to change his style, or die soon after.
While your correct about how merciless Tengen is when it comes to demons, I feel like he’d at least hear what Tanjiro has to say first, mainly because if Tanjiro says that his whole family was murdered by a demon, I think it would awaken something in Tengen’s psyche, reminding him of when he killed his siblings without even knowing who they were, and if he sees Nezuko protecting Tanjiro, he would see that some demons are merciful at heart, and thus, he would take Tanjiro under his wing, and teach him Sound Breathing, which unlike Love and Insect breathing, it would suit him incredibly well, like Flame and Water breathing, due to you relying on your physical strength for holding the 2 chained nichirin cleavers, and even though he doesn’t have the hearing like Tengen or Zenitsu, he can still use the technique to an incredible extent, that’s how I see this encounter, but that’s just me
The encounter is correct but the Shinobi training would take him around 3 and 4 years including the chain like nichirin. We have to consider that sound breathing is a distant relative to thunder, which leads Tanjiro to not perform Hinokami Kagu- you get the point.

I think that if Mitsuri teaches Tonjiro Mitsuri would realize that Tonjiro can’t really use love breathing and would direct him to flame breathing which would suit him MUCH better and would likely result in him being stronger than canon version of himself and more closely trained for sun breathing.
Also, I think Nezuko would survive the Sound breathing hashira encounter because Tengen would find Tonjiro flashy and would see Nezuko’s protection and think of his past. Maybe then he would try to explain to Tonjiro why he needs Nezuko beheaded and Tonjiro uses his MC charisma and keeps Nezuko?

Tengen was one of the hashira that originally wanted to kill tanjiro and nezuko, the only hashira that didn’t (or were at least neutral) were Giyu and Shinobu
Well actually, even without training, Tanjiro would eventually, through trial and error, come across the Hinokami Kagura once more, and begin his own training of it, eventually becoming strong enough to take revenge for his family. Sanemi included.
I think the reason Mitsuri's love breathing wouldn't be suitable isn't because it wouldn't give Tanjiro the strength he needed, but rather, to truly master love breathing you have to have the inhuman flexibility and eight-fold strength that only Mitsuri has. This breathing style depends on a strength and body composition he doesn't have. In this way, I think he would then learn Flame Breathing basics from Mitsuri and then make his way to learning under Rengoku since that was Mitsuri's former master.

I feel Tanjiro is more competent than people actually give him credit for. I don't think he'd go off on his own and die, just like how Sanemi strung up demons in the mountains and burned them in sunlight and then he met Masachika and learnt Wind Breathing furthermore from a trainer,
I think Tanjiro would be in a similar situation where he finds a Demon Slayer, possibly a former Hashira and learns more about the existence of the Demon Slayer Corps, thus becoming a Demon Slayer and depending on what breathing style he chose, later on, unlocks Sun Breathing and etc.
He would be significantly weaker without being at the Demon Slayer HQ and Shinobu's estate. I say this because he presumably trained a lot in these places when he got taken to the Slayer Corps + if he wasn't trained by a former Hashira, he'd probably die to Rui unless he unlocks Sun Breathing which demolished 2 years of training with Water Breathing and literally obliterated Rui.

2) No one connects to Muichiro like Tanjiro. Tanjiro could awaken memories of his father which would lead Muichiro sparing them.
3) Both Gyomei and Rengoku would kill Nezuko. Upon seeing Nezuko for the first time, Rengoku suggests to put them on trial, then recants his statement and says to execute them both. Gyomei says to put them both out of their misery in that same meeting.

Mitsuris love breathing has A LOT to do with her strength
This is my theory.
In mitsuri case, i have different storyline. She train tanjiro love breathing, then she finally realized that tanjiro is not suited with that style. Hence, she give recommendation to tanjiro to train with rengoku fire breathing.
I believe tanjiro will survive if he learn other breathing as he is very determination to protect and slay demon. Eventually, he going to use hinokami kagura to decapitate demon head regardless what breathing style he use. But he will use hinokami kagura earlier after he realized breathing he use not strong enough to decapitate demon head.

Giyuu didn't actually know anything about whether water breathing was suited for Tanjiro or not, he was just curious about his sister and spared them to his trainer Urokodaki because he trusted it'd work out. I wonder if he'd do better using another breathing technique as said in the video? Hm
Although maybe Urokodaki could just send Tanjiro to a different trainer if he KNEW water breathing wouldn't work, but he only trained Tanjiro at first because Giyuu asked him and specifically him to train Tanjiro. I'm not 100% sure he even wanted to train Tanjiro at the beginning but he gave him a chance.
Um, I think you're not taking something into account here. Hashira don't always have apprentices that have the same form as them. Kanao was Shinobus Tsukogu and used a different breathing style AND a normal katana. I'm sure both Mitsuri and Shinobu would test Tanjiro to see if he was compatible with their styles. Mitsuri was originally a flame breather so she could easily have taught him a few techniques of that instead or even ask Rengoku to help her. The same could apply to Shinobu who would ask another Hashira, Giyu or Rengoku to train him.

I remember I read all fanfics that comes with this plot where "what of Tanjiro met this Hashira instead of Giyu" it was fun on its diff approaches due to Hashira's personality. So what I did, I choose the route where nobody saved Tanjiro and that Muzan took him and his sister as upper demons lmao 😂 foreshadowing the finale.
