Battle of Easterwich, Phase 1 of the war, 3rd episode
My players are battling for control of a lucrative world: Blue Hole. My players represent different factions/ armies under the greater umbrella of the Alyina Mercantile League and the Vesper Marches (Tamar Rising). Their decisions dictate this narrative campaign and which battles are fought in this Chaos Campaign.

Glorious, I’m on the third battle of this binge watch, and I’m loving it. The confusion, the surprise, the game of strategic chicken. Hilarious.
The first two battles kinda made me think the Chupacabras had a huge leg up, but this battle shows just how confusing fog of war, and such is. the fact that both teams bumbled into each other expecting the other to retreat or feint, was absolutely hilarious.
The battle no one wanted, and the most deadly in the manner of mech lossage in the war so far.
I love it. lol

I am really loving this. Campaign games just add all kinds of choices you have to make for the long term.
The look of these battle reports are awesome, and you explain everything very well. One note: on Turn 2, the Zeus took a fire control critical. That critical would not take effect until until the next turn (unless you have a house rule that says differently).
Yep, that was a mistake on our part for that battle. Other battles we started to implement critical damage effects in the following rounds.

As I play more Alpha Strike, I've learned Skill 4 and even 5 aren't that big of an issue. So what if your assault has Skill 2? He's a big target, versus a smaller swarm of little guys.
Not sure if it’s a thing in Alpha Strike, I’ve only ever played classic, but I’d have gone for the building at 15:50 instead of the mech.
Blow up the giant stationary building and the mechs on top will take fall damage during the building collapse - especially if the building has a basement, making it a two level fall.
For that matter I’d probably have done my artillery shot at the building too, get both before firing a shot and letting my mechs take on others instead - could have really turned the match another way.
But only if fall damage from building works the same in Alpha Strike as it does in CBT?
I don't know if they are the same, but yes fall damage is a factor in Alpha Strike. The players started doing this when they got more comfortable in urban battles later in the war.
Very cool video. I really like the story driven game. Can you tell us where to get the houses and colored bases?
colored bases were picked up off an Etsy retailer, just search for colored hex bases and you can find a few vendors who make them with different colors and have different prices and shipping.
The houses were bought as STLs off MyMiniFactory. My local library has a 3D printer with very, very cheap prices.

They were 3D printed. I bought the STLs at MyMiniFactory and my local library does 3D printing for a very, very small fee.
