Liz I want to start making my own jewelry in several different mediums... so I love to research everything thoroughly before I start, costs, materials, ease of use, etc.. I've watched over 100 videos and read over 200 diy and how to's. yours is the best by far, easy to follow, explanative, very thorough. You've won a fan for life. This is the first time I've ever left a comment on any of them. Thank you for everything your an awesome teacher.

You can dip your shells in muriatic acid for three seconds, then dip them in regular water to rinse. It will take most of the calcified surface off and leave the lacquer sheen. I quite enjoyed the video.

So glad I found this video via your website. Gave me great ideas and instruction. Wish I'd kept my mom's abalone shell when she passed last month. Never thought to process it for my jewelry making. Duh. Thanks for sharing!!!

just got into shell art, avid have only watched a few videos. However, most were about technique. This was the first video that specifically mentioned anything to do with safety. Thank you much!

Wow, that was great! Not only was it a good tutorial but you also helped me identify pieces in the rotary tool set (I ordered the exact one online but it had no info on what piece did what)

Ohhh wow! THANK YOU! I have been searching for YEARS how to polish shells, what to use, and how to use it. Thank you for filling in the blanks so that I can learn more about polishing!! Know I know that I CAN polish shells, they DO look beautiful under that top layer, I can use my dremel in water without electrocuting myself and leaving my graestone saying confusing stuff as to how I died, and I know what tip to use AND, most importantly to me: what those tips are called and what each is for. that info is really hard to find. I only ever see lists or a chart and no info on how to use them or what I can use them on. I am so very grateful. N
