He did a major mistake. If he was rich, he would of paid the VIP for the others. YOu want to show how rich, by having as many assistants around you as possible. I know people in Hollywood, whose job is too do absolutely nothing. She was hired to show how important her boss is, and that he needs 3 assistants.
I love seeing Barnaby with different characters. With Lilith he’s snarky and eye-rolling over her behaviour and the “nonsense” she goes on about. But he’s just generally scared and respectful of Zillah 😂

I hope Barnaby's character arc is just him buying steadily more expensive coats until he's unable to carry anything other than a heavy load into heists because he's too weighed down by diamonds or something.

Lilith and Barnaby (Ellen and Mike) Kasimir and Edvard (Johnny and Andy) And now Zillah and Barnaby (Jane and Mike) It makes me really want: Zillah and Edvard Kasimir and Barnaby would also be fun. Edvard and Lilith would also be fun one to see. The most professional team though would be Kasimir and Zillah.

I find that Mike tends to be the quiet one. The bigger and louder the group is, the less you hear of Mike. With just Jane and Luke, who also give him a lot more room to talk, a lot more of his comedy comes through.

Well nothing is stopping the cast from time travel or simply talking to the dead, seeing that they are not only in geth, but also in a massive collection point for ghost activity, so now I'm afraid I can no longer wait for an oxventurers and blades crossover mission

Maybe I'm insane, but I've had this idea i can't get out of my head where the group gets word of some cursed woods and beyond it a lake, where at the bottom there is supposedly near infinite treasure. And they have to traverse through, vines lash at them, arrows are sent flying, deadly moonlight beams down, all the while an extremely old cat follows them being friendly. They reach the river, and see 3 graves, to Corazon, Egbert, and Prudence. They dive down, despite the cat trying to meow and convince them to not, and find a mountain of treasure, and another grave. This one made for Dob, with a broken hammer, and a body that looks boneless and like it put up a fight. They come back up with their treasure, maybe the broken hammer itself. An old, extremely pissed elven woman notching several arrows in a bow is in the cats place. "Let go of my friend." If they say no? "Then we'll make you." And the group is on the run from a furious Merilwen and the ghosts of the Oxventurers rising from their graves, severely weaker than they would be due to the near death of magic, but intensely powerful. The only real option at this point is run, probably as Merilwen turns into a grey haired bear. Probably really bad, but I just thought it'd make for a neat near-final heist or one off crossover. To make it more fair, Egbert can totally get confused and accidentally heal the group, or Corazon could be so busy being a jerk while boasting it makes a distraction, or Dobs illusions accidentally trick his friends.
I love seeing Jane with this role, completely different from Prudence. Also, love how different Barnaby is with Zillah, there's a sort of scared respect for her.

Every one of the Oxventure team are great, in all the games I've seen them try so far. But Mike in Blades in the Dark is something next level. The way he totally embraces Barnaby and his eccentricities is sublime.

Mike is a skilled character actor. Egbert in "Heist Society" is my favorite example of a smart guy effectively roleplaying a dumb guy.

Every heist has to be bigger and more elaborate, just to pay for the next coat, which will inevitably require replacement in turn.
