Much needed video as almost all main indian influencers are buying luxury products mindlessly and motivating their audience to do the same . Audience feels that they are poor if they cant afford all this as easy as them. They are creating pressure on young individuals.
Many of these influencers aren't buying these products . Luxury brands give them in free to advertise their products . Some of them sponsor their content .
I'm glad that even when you are around influencers who promote luxury as if it is attainable for their younger audience, you have not chosen that same path Nidhi! Great video.

Thank god you spoke. saw a lot of influencers say "cute packaging" to a seemingly one colour design 😭 i was like what at least say the truth. Earlier my only point was big brands use rare and good quality MATERIAL as that's no longer the case in 2024 sadly. It's not even worth it even if you don't know the story of the inner exploitation 😔

What's really mind-blowing is that the original designer that designed the Birkin bag, wanted an everyday affordable bag for working women. She only sold few pieces in her life & that to at affordable prices. After her death, the bag design was sold to Hermes & they turned Birkin into an Uber exclusive invitation only product.

Recently I saw sarah sarosh splurging on LV Earrings I was wondering is it gold, she keeps displaying her luxury purchases on and off, there are many influencers doing the same, unfortunately they are called INFLUENCER's, influencing in wrong way

Btw when I went to China n 2017 I got to know that addidas Nike etc b8g brand was sold in their local market but without logo obviously... nd was shocked bcz that was the first time when got to know about this .. all these are manufactured in same factory some are transported to brands then they put there logo nd sell on high prices... nd same shoe u can find in local shop in cheap rate nd different is just logo or without logo .... after that I always go for comfort nd not for brand or logo ...

Well thought video…I have used a few of these products and they worked just average compared to the price point I paid for them. Also, we tend to use these products less as these are luxury, so we really don’t know their worth in today’s time. I appreciate you for the fact of not promoting them just for the sake of video and views. Further, I realized viewers sometimes make wrong choices basis influencers hyping about a product. It’s sad to see how majority of content creators obsess over these products and celebrate their wins or comfort themselves in sad times by buying these products and putting it on social media.

Ajkal sare influencers race mein hai to buy luxury products and show the world about it without being responsible that such repetitive behaviour only creates fomo and desire in their audience and they want to aspire for the same. Jaise ajkal har kisi ko iPhone chahiye, bhalei loan leke ho ya Ghar ka saman beech ke but iPhone is more important than your savings or anything else. There is no harm in wanting or buying an iPhone, but purchase it only when your annual income justifies the expense. I am afraid jis raftar se log ajkal LV, Channel, Gucci flaunt kar rahe hai aur jaise ajkal har kisi ko Sabyasachi ya Manish Malhotra lehenga chahiye hota hai for any and every reason log apna Ghar girwi rakhne na yeh sab luxuries mein indulge ho Jaye in near future. Luxury brands are essentially targeted towards upper middle class and the new rich ppl. The ppl who love to name drop and spend their holidays in London for funsies. To be noted a lot of really rich ppl will also buy fakes just bcos- if they do get stolen it wont be a problem. . Lots of desiger brands use labour in Asia and pay them paltry sums. Where as if its handmade in spain or italy it's v expensive ( labour cost is high and they do like to pay their white employees more than they do their brown ones) if u still want to flash a good bag stick to Tory Burch or coach or even MK they are all affordable luxury with great drsign range. Or buy good quality ethically sourced Indian brands...

I was following her since few years back when she made video on nykaa hasn't paid her for work. I liked her alot, but now she only rave about luxury items and has become a materialistic person... paisa nahi Hai Ghar ke liye bolti Hai aur foreign trips ghoomne Chale jaati Hai.. not at all possible so I unfollowed her... I get it that these luxury items are a statement of your status, but I mean if you really have that much money lying around then invest it in stocks or mutual funds. Or just donate it. Having one or two luxury items is understandable but buying luxury products over and over again? That's just being dumb. I mean why would you buy a Louis Vuitton earring worth 50k instead of buying a gold or diamond set? That's just being dumb.

Strangely, this scenario reminds of under paid Software Engineers in India where in they work much efficiently than the Onshore/ Onsite team members. The offshore people billing amount is so much higher than what engineers over here get as fixed salaries.
US clients are exploiting majority software engineers who are working for them from India.

Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been amzwatch buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability

Thank you Nidhi for making a video on this topic. We all know purchasing luxury items these days are projected as a person is doing so much hard work so he/she is able to afford such stuff so others too should take inspiration from that person. But taking inspiration is fine and being blind folded is utterly disturbing. An average person makes 30k- 40k per month [even less]. And according to me a person true inspiration for making more money should not be confused with able to afford luxury items rather it should be more inclined to live sustainably and peacefully.
