Captain Jack Sparrow is the best disguise I've ever heard in my life🤣🤣
Absolutely 😂, Unmesh really creative in using those puns
I was about to say that 😂😂😂 was ready to write the same thing lol
i was dead😂 when he said that , bruh 💀💀💀
The realization that the transparency of your selection allows generative fill to take your selection into account, and at different amounts depending on the transparency percentage, was a game changer for what was already a game changing feature. It honestly unlocks a lot of extra functionality for generative fill which I haven't seen many people talking about. Wish there was a more intuitive way to change the opacity of an existing selection, but using different shades of gray in the quick mask mode is definitely an easy option!
- Something else you can do that's fun to play around with: Select the entire canvas with an opacity around 40-50% and give it a prompt to change the style of your entire image, like "oil painting" for example. Since you have a transparent selection, generative fill will be able to look at your image and generate an entirely new one that preserves the overall shape and color of your original image, at different intensities depending on the transparency of your selection.
Edit: Don't know how I missed this, but I just saw Unmesh posted a short showcasing this exact idea a couple weeks ago ^
I just wanted to say that I am very happy that I found this channel! I have learned a LOT from you over the past 2 months!!
MANY THANKS!!
I've used PhotoShop since vers 1.0 and never knew double clicking the quick mask icon got it's options - I've been inverting the selection for decades!!! Thank you so very much! :D
Same here, this was a good surprise 😮😂
Every time I turn around, you're taking more pain out of Photoshop. Soon there's going to be none left. Thank you!
Another great Video. Like your style of explaining (and repetiting important steps).
Awesome as always! Very much appreciated Unmesh! Good luck!
Always great tutorials! 😊
Wow, very nice. This will be so great for precise generations. Thanks for the content 😁
thanks Umesh. been waiting for a video like this to see how good the Genera... (they should change the name!) fill thing works. I'll keep playing around based on your findings and testing how it works on different backgrounds. so far i think this is probably the only video out there that on YT that has tried to test the AI from Adobe with complex hair selection. would be interesting on other texture selectins like fur, scales (lol), rocks, water and complex flora back grounds. let's go exploring!!!
Perfect explanation and demonstration, especially of the reasoning why you generate the white background first before the generative fill. I learned something :).
I decided to grow out my hair and thumbnails have been so hard to work with since. This might help! Ty sir.
Brilliant! I just used this on a senior portrait where I needed to change the background to a neutral color with gradient behind the young woman. It worked perfectly - even on a gradient.
You're amazing, thank you so much for sharing in such a straightforward way!
thanks for all the help
Awesome as always! Thanks 🤝🏻
The ability to determine the level of influence the base image has on the generation process using a brush is revolutionary for AI image generation. It allows for designing a smooth transition from a reference image to the AI-generated image, ensuring it aligns perfectly with the desired outcome. Achieving this level of control over the generation process represents a significant advancement in AI image and not only opens up a vast realm of creative possibilities but also allows for harnessing the machine's capabilities to fulfill specific needs, rather than relying solely on its tendency to interpret text prompts and its surrounding visual context.
This still helps a ton for selecting hair and other complex things on busy backgroudns, since it give you a clean backgroudn to base you selection of of.
I love your great full videos and photoshop❤
Thank You!! Great tutorial!!
Another HUGE useful tip with Generate Fill 👏👏👏 Thank you 😊
Awesome tips! Thank you.
Thank you so much... always learn something new with you bro.
Excellent, was wondering how to force the gen fill to use the original as a reference, perfect timing!
You've just saved me a ton of work, THANK YOU!
Oh wow, this will be so helpful 😀 It will be excellent when higher resolution will be available.
And we thank you for your supportive Videos 🙏
7:07 Amazing as always
You are above the Legends ❤️❤️
Hi PiXimperfect! Thank you !!!
BTW - Unmesh, if you get the "the images have been removed ...." error when you don't use a prompt, then just type a . as the prompt. there's a bug that triggers the filters when there's no prompt. A single ascii character prevents that from happening, and a . or a , won't affect the content generated.
Kudos 😀
Thank You for your information
Thank you for the great tutorials :)
ey, thanks so much! this was great!.. as always :)
You never cease to amaze me!
interesting. i used the same image of the surprised young woman a couple weeks ago and had similar results. thanks for all your great tutorials.
excelente video amigo, sencillo, rapido y bien explicado
Another excellent video on generative fill
Thanks sir
Absolututely AMAZING!!!!! Thanks so much!
Fantastic video!
Thank you for that tutorial! I do have another question though. What method or tutorial can you share about selecting marble veining? or turning the white part of the stone into a transparent layer, while maintaining some of the fine wispy details? Thanks!
Very cool. Ive been using PS since it was invented. And I am always looking for ways to improve my masking. Great info.
It's amazing ❤
Thank you so much! You are the best
wow................. bro, I have seen u after a long time ............ and u r looking different .thanks
I've been utilizing generative fill for a few weeks now (I hate that name though, couldn't they name the tool something else? haha)
Recently I had a photoshoot with some models jumping on a trampoline with a purple slat wall behind them. There were a few shots where they jumped high enough where their hair or their hands went beyond the edge of the wall. I had wanted to fill the wall so that it covers the whole image, and I'll just say for the few shots that I had to generate hair along with the wall background, it did a great job. So yeah I'm glad that it can do hair pretty well! I still had to manually mask around the hands though since the gen-fill wanted to generate new hands on me. But, thats what good old fasioned PiXimperfect masking skills come in handy for!! :)
We can agree to call it G-fill if you like that better :)
Edit: Just noticed you called it gen-fill. I like that better
Thank you very much
Thanks for This Video
Awesome! Thanks :)
Nice tip! Is this because select/consider all layers is not yet an option in Generative Fill like many other Ps tools? Otherwise surely any selection on a new blank layer would work?
Great - thank you.
I am not very good at English, But I can understand 😊
Because you have the ability,
Really Proud of you Sir 😊❤
INCREDIBLE!!!!! 🙏🙏
Superb tip for hair generation 👍👍👍
I could see using generative fill with feathering to soften the edges so you won’t see the pixelation. Or smudge or erase with a very feathered brush.
thanks
Absolute gamechanger, amazing
I'm so impressed by these PS skills. Everytime wow
BEST hint ever... you are my personal hero!!!!!! Thanks Unmesh 🙂 Converting a short hairstyle with the same hair structure into a long hairstyle is not yet done cleanly by the AI... or does it? ;-)
Thank you very much bro :)
Love you bro you are a saviour for me.
Thanks.
it's so good in retouching minor details
Many thanks for all your videos. It has been a great journey watching them. I recently did a photoshoot near Opera house in Sydney with the best camera gear and managed to get a very creamy blurry background. But the client has asked me that he wants to see the picture with the background clear. Is there a technique to Unblur a picture, possibly with AI?
Visit opera house again, click a shot without client, then composite :)
Thanks a million for the AWESOME video... Really Really nice...
At 3:35 when you select using a darker grey... You mention for the first time... A transparent selection... I don't get what you mean... Can you explain a bit...
You are the man 🎉
amazing!
Hi, I've got a question apart and in general: is it possible to save differently cut pictures in 1 PS file? Is it possible to save e. g. the original picture 2:3 in different versions, say in 1 layer a 1:1 cut version, in the next layer on top a 4:5? Kind regards. Andrea
Good video as usual. But I've yet to see anyone address the issue with GF not matching the noise in the image. You end up with a conspicuous disparity between the GF portions of the image and the original. I know you can add noise, obviously, and while it's better than nothing, it's not quite the same and can still be noticed (depending on the use).
was following along in beta, and in generative fill with the hair selected, it also changed the nearest eye, even though it's not in the selection area - wasn't that close to the selected area either . . .
gracias,sos un genio
Could you use this method and change the background to, lets say a greenscreen kinda color, and then easily remove it after to get a transparent background? Its an extra step, but you get a transparent background.
DUDE i love your videos :D and by the way... i only use captain jack sparrow versions and for me the Generative fill feature works, because theres also a captain jack sparrow version of firefly that comes in a zip file
Lovely
u r awesome 💯
amazing
how do you make the mouse 2 concentric circles instead of one circle when in brush tool?
that was cool
I found a surprising tip with Camera Raw : I used select a subject to create a mask but was not happy with the result on hair. Then I tried select a person, the result was far more accurate and precise.
My beta app is sooo buggy on my Mac. It will not let me save back to lightroom in either original or beta once I download beta. Do you have a fix for that?
Unmesh can you teach us how to install different version of Photoshop on the same PC ? I can only install 1 ver of Photoshop beta and 1 ver of the non beta version . Currently remove tool is bugged to all Ryzen 3000 cpu users , only works on ver 24.5 beta , but I also want to install 24.6 and 24.7 beta on the same PC without them overwriting each others , can you help with this ?
Can you try to fix softbox reflection on glasses for business portraits with Ai?
bhot sahi bhot sahi
cool!!!
on which version is it avalaible?? i have Photoshop CC 2022 is it there?
wow man! just wow. Thanks a gazillionz!
Great
I've been using PS for 30 years and I didn't know you could create a semi transparent selection with quick mask 🤦👍
What if you used blend mode to make the white background disappear
What if you use a black background and then set the mode to screen? Would that get rid of the black pixels?
Which keyboard and pen are you using
So the reference image has to be what's being replaced. What exactly does that mean, in cases where you're not asking it to re-draw what's already there?
Unmeshiversity. Thank you!
is there a work around using generative fill for background and having it morphe your subject unintentionally?
I have a question regarding Photoshop's Generative Fill because it seems that it's not working properly for me. As far as I know, if we want to fill an area larger than 1024x1024 pixels at once using the tool, the quality won't be very good. So, if I want to modify a high-resolution image, for example, adding new parts to its edges, it's recommended to fill areas of 1024x1024 px with the tool, and then each additional part will be sharp and seamlessly blend with the original image.
However, I'm encountering the following issue when I add new parts to the image:
With each added part, the edges don't match well in terms of color and brightness with the original parts, resulting in a faint but noticeable grid pattern on the image by the time I finish.
I've tried using 8-bit and 16-bit, and even filling areas that are not 1024x1024 pixels, but I can still see the seams at the edges.
Of course, I always add the new parts with overlap to the original area.
Now, I have two options: either try to remove these seams afterward, or figure out the cause of the issue. I chose the latter, which is why I'm reaching out to you in case you have encountered this problem before.
Thank you in advance for your response, if you have the time to address it.
Thank you!
Do you have adjustment layers like levels, exposure, etc on the underlying layers?
@@AndersonCo26 No, nothing.
Hi Brother
Your brush tool double Circle have this double Circle how to activate
super
anyone know how does Umes highlight his mouse and darken other section on the screen?
