Good video as always bro quick question?....do you have any car audio laying around that you could let go of for cheap?..I have very little money due to my living situation but I can always try to hustle something up...I need to BUMP lol thanks in advance and keep up the good work
Your remote place u keep pointing to isn’t for connecting the two amps to connect 2 Amps together you need to to one rca into the output master/slave then on the other amp you switch it to Slave. That rj7 connection is for a bass remote the telephone jack looking one just telling you so u know how your amp works
The "REMOTE" port on the amp is not to link (Daisy chain) another amp. It's for a remote (Bass Knob). Yes you have one running through your RCA's yet the port is made for the OEM optional knob.
@@trilliedon8728 I know this is a year old but that port is for the bass knob as OP said. It only controls the bass volume on that amp only. The term you’re getting confused with is “strapping” which is when two amps can be combined to double output power. But even then that’s usually controlled through RCAs or speaker wire.
Hello , awesome short video, I think the amp setting was probably close to 31hrz ,an I think your running some pretty decent higher end equipment .deffently sounded great ,an I appreciated your took time to post an share your progress 👍. I like how you inverted the subs to keep an eye on the coils while pushing them hard. So, if you where to take a digital thermal reader ,an check the coils while running them .could have a better idea hot ,for how long,an how well they cool down inverted like that. Did you notice an improvement on lower frequency now in this enclosure ?
This is ummm… hmm.. lol if your gain is 3/4 of the way up you’re in trouble. That means you’re getting hardly any input voltage. Turn radio close to max volume before clipping for most efficient tuning unless your amp doesn’t handle the max pre out of your radio or source unit. This will eliminate the possibility of input voltage spiking and hard clipping your amp/sub and causing some smoky issues. Also… you’re losing on the low end. Your subsonic should be at minimum an octave below box tuning. The slope is going to cut into your box’s tuning frequency, it’s not a brick wall filter it’s a 12db per octave I believe but even at 24db per octave you’re still cutting into tuning frequency of your enclosure. And phase is not just for inverting or not inverting subs. If you run multiple amps, you can put them both on an oscilloscope and see a slight variance in the waveform that is produced. For example amp 2 may be 3-5 degrees out of phase, so you use the phase adjustment to sync up those output waveforms so your subwoofers move in unison. Also can use the phase knob to adjust your delay etc. not just an invert button. Just saw this and wanted to share and clear some things up. Keep up the good work bro
So no multimeter needed to set my subsonic filter? I can just multiply my box tuning (40hz) by .75 to get me half an octave lower equalling 30hz. And that's where I set my subsonic is 30hz?
Nice tahoe bud . I have an 09 with 1 12w7 . Do you have issues with the voltage on yours ? My tahoe has the charge on demand system and after a bit of driving , it lowers the voltage to 12.7 for better fuel economy
Love your setup but lower the gain I have that amp use a multimeter it gets clean voltage to 75 volts I'd suggest u use the clip light on bass knob it helps
When setting the gain in the amplifier, does the bass knob of my amp and also of my epicenter have to have be at max or all the way down when tuning? Please reply
You’d want your bass knob turned all the way up when tuning. Reason being, if you tune your amp with the bass knob set at half way for instance, when you decide to crank the knob up one day because you are in the mood to bump hard, you could potentially damage your speakers or over load your amp, because it wouldn’t be tuned correctly, at least not pass that half way level on the knob. So knob all the way up, and adjust your gain accordingly. Therefore if you decide to have the knob all the way up, you know the tune is set correctly for that amount of bass. Protect your investment.

I just keep my subsonic turned to off and my LPF is set to 32HZ which is what my box is tuned to. My bass EQ is at 6dB, does this sound ok? its a RP1200.1 on 2 SDRs
I have the same setup and you need to change all of those settings. Lpf should be at 80. Subsonic at 25. Turn that 6 dB to 0. My gain is only about 1/3 up (oscilloscope tuned) you're going to have nothing but clipping and bottoming out with the settings you have
@@OGSook I have the same set up, definitely going to try you’re settings! Glad I ran into this comment! I feel like they just aren’t hitting right! I have my gain half way up, subsonic all the way down and db is at 0 lpf is at like 60 -70
Set it no more than a half octave lower than what your box is tuned at. Like say my 15in i just got. Specs on ported box showed it was tuned at 32hz made for my 15 specifically. Lots would just set subsonic at 32hz. But, most experts etc say u can go "half octave lower", which is just 32÷2=16 then 16÷2= 8, so my box is 32hz right? So i can take 8 off 32 and set it their safely, which is 32-8=24Hz. So mine is set at 24. Hope that helps, just need to know box specs kinda.
It cant hurt to set it around 25 tho anyway, it will just make it so the subs don't try to get too much lower than 25hz, which 12s don't get that low usually anyway really. Id guess 30-35would be closer to recommended for you. But 25 should be fairly safe and hit a lil harder too haha. Goodluck

@@ROBBG88 yeah I figured that's why you used -5 instead of -3. I also understand the lower db test tone is going to increase the gain level a bit. I completely understand what your saying. The one thing I would like to know tho. You said you clip at half volume with about 75% gain. Did you purposely set gain at half volume so you dont need to crank the radio up or am I not understanding something. We typically set gain at about 75% radio volume to keep us from going over a volume that would introduce clipping. I'm pretty sure its less stress on the amp also.

I have the Cendo 8k so I know bro. It’s all about learning my dude. Seriously tho homie, tune your phase to 180 and the other shit I said if you really wanna wham. Also, slap sum cardboard behind your plate, it’d be different if your fenders and roof were shakin but if you just trying to get your license plate to buzz, smh, your good but damn it man. It’s upsetting to see this and that amp has so much potential but it’s being starved of it glory. Good luck 🤙🏻
Brah, tell us how you really feel...lol
What setting scould I use for one 10inch subwoofer?
It depends on the closure you're putting the sub in and what sub you are running
Subsonic should be set half an octave of ur box tuning
Are you running 4g or 1/0 g
I'm running 1/0 for power and ground from the batteries to the amp and 8g speaker runs to the subs.
That is not 1/0 gauge has to be 4guage you have dual inputs for a reason you’re going to damage the amp if u keel running it like that
@@kaitlyncunningham2849 that’s his speaker wires🤣

Thank you my friend !
. Fat system 👍👍Dont you use a multimter to set your gains
On a Subsonic Filter 20hz - 50hz
What would it be at 12:00 position? 35hz?
20+50=70hz
70/2= 35hz
Thanks for anybody that can’t help me figure it out..
Also, LPF 20hz - 200hz
Half way would be 110hz and 9:00 position being 55hz?
i was having the same question, have you figured it out?
You are correct 👍
Yo wait you go to ball state I’m going there next year😂
That's awesome, do you have a system yourself?
@@NicholasSnowProductions yeah but nothing much right now, i have 2 12” skar subs at 1200rms. Currently working on getting my electricals upgraded and getting to 9k rms😂
Put some foam tape on back of that license plate my man.

No offense but fix that rattle on your trunk when the bass hits. it sounds crappy. It doesn't sound clean
Video good but your gain shouldn't be that high..
Tag vibration is noise pollution.
I'm 90% sure your gain is to high. Your radio must have a very low rca output voltage if your using that much gain
I'm with you too I dont see how hes not clipping cause I have 2 nendo 4k n on both of them when I use my multimeter they get clean voltage up to 75 anything after is clipping and I use a -5db 40hz test tone I'm not even turned up even to half it's like right below half so yea hes clipping especially at .5 but he wouldn't know cuz he dont have factory bassknob in with clip light noob mistakes
@@ROBBG88 to be honest, I'm a bit of a noob also. I know a little bit tho. I've never seen a properly set gain that high before. It's usually somewhere around half way up or less. Yeah I think most people use -3db. 40hz at -5 is a less aggressive way to set gain. Gives you more of a safety net. I didn't realize he was @ .5 ohms. Your probably right. I just don't like people giving bad information on a informational video. You feel me
@@Silentjustin06 same here but if u watch exocontralto he even says if u listen to rebassed like dj russticals and so on to use the -5db 40hz tone Nd if you go to dj russticals he has the spl tones and a gain setting tone its -5db 40hz yes it's less forgiving but I've gained on the meter than using a 0db 40hz tone even if u check dj russticals music is -7.5 db so the lower into the -db the higher the gain will go but then u introduce clipping so I stay -5db for rebassed and 0db wen I'm just cruising banging that's me tho and yea I feel u on wat u said misinformation I dont know everything but I no enough to not blow my equipment
Your subsonic isn't at 30. 30 would be in the 12:00 position. 30 is dead center between 10 and 50.
Why are you invading your subs
Reduce heat buildup in the box, for the look, and to gain more air space in the big because it was build a little too small
Lord god that's supposed to be music WTF
that's not how it works 😕 every one's setup is different and I bet your clipping the crap out that Crescendo if u didn't set with oscilloscope or DD-1
Just because you haven’t put something behind license plate I gave you a 👎
Your setup is way off way too much power for the subs that you have
to cheap
You can hear any music just bass.
I'd buy this real nigga a drink anytime- Beers are on me, Sir!
