Now THAT's my kind of junkyard! I could roam around in there for hours & not get bored. I love old cars, cultural refuse, technotrash, & home-cooked artwork. Great find, CB!

@5.05 I'd say it is not a fiat.. My guess more a Japanese K car or NSU springs to mind....
@7.00 is a Chevrolet Vega...
You're the MAN
@@icascone 5:05 It's a french Renault 4CV.
Thank You Spencer.
Loved the video and your unique attention to detail.
I have visited Old Car City a couple of years ago and will be back there in two weeks time.
It is an amazing place and your day goes by so fast.
This time I will slow things down and try to observe more and shoot less shots but hopefully
shoot better quality.
Thank you for keeping the roots of photography alive.
Steve Powell U.K.
Car guys are dying of parts envy while watching this. Love it
Spars part Heaven.I wona go there.
This beaks my heart, soo many beautiful cars dead and left to rot
Thay might sell some
@@matthewbyrom5394 they dont sell anything
At 16:37 the car is a 1972 plymouth Duster. The Dodge Demon was the other one in the Mopar line. Cool to rebuild. Not many on the road any more. Thank you for giving us geezers a chance to reflect.
67' firebird, buddy of mine spent 20k restoring his, super rare car up here in the rust belt hardly ever seen them
It's a feral car zoo! That is AWESOME! Thanks, Jacob. I would totally dig going here some day.
Loved the junk yard. Looks like fun. You find the best stops. Thanks for sharing.
I am sad to see these old classic cars and trucks, sitting there, with "kindling" on them.
I seen a few or more Mercury's!
I would like to go there.
Honestly.
I mean who would not?
i think and know you made the place more popular now Carpetbagger!
Thank you, for the video of, OlD Car City, U.S.A.!
At 5:05 the "little clown car" is actually a Fiat 500. This one is one of the original Italian versions and is even smaller than the new one. There are about 10 zillion of them in Italy. The 500 is for a 500 CC motor.
I love the footage when you set the camera down, get in the cams view, and have a seat and take a minute to ponder.
Jacob, this was a very cool vlog!!!!!!!!!
You're so right about the colors of cars back then and how bland the are now in comparison, it's sad!!!
What a vehicle cemetery!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to film this!!!
Pretty crazy looking place....l actually live about 20 minutes from there.....passed by many times but never actually thought of stopping in...until now that is!
blackjeepjk come on by
Where is this located
@@rebeccabritt4505 Right outside of Cartersville Ga....l believe the town is call White Ga...you head north on 411 out of Cartersville and it is on the right side of the road several miles from l-75.
Thank you
Bro, thanks for sharing your journey. I appreciate the glimpse into the saga of the carpetbagger. Keep on Keepin' on like the car said. I'm subbin' just to see what's next. Cheers!
Awesome junk yard!!
Thanks for sharing!
:)
As far as I can tell, that's a 1963 Dodge 330 station wagon at 9:02. Not a hearse, just a family wagon. I inherited one of those from my grandmother for my first car. It was white. But it had a red interior like this one. Even in 1980 it was impossible to find these in junk yards. Needed a tailgate window. Never found one.
Cool place to walk around and take pictures of all the old cars .
Just awesome, Mike Espo .
😂 The highlight of our weekends was hitting the junk yard with our dad. Lol I can't tell you how many cars I saw that I remembered, that once was road worthy. AND the last time I took mass transit was exactly like the bus you sat in! 😂 Thanks for the memories, CARPETBAGGER!😉❤
Cool! :)
That RV @ 11:00 is like a Holiday Rambler, maybe made by the same company. They were top of the line RV's in their day, which was the 1970's. I lived in a Holiday Rambler 5th wheel for a year and a half.
I was just there last week... This is an absolutely fantastic video to get someone excited to go see it for themselves!!!! What got me excited was the show on MotorTrend on demand called junkyard gold
Dude, you have GOT to go back there! 😮 That place is pretty awesome! 😃
That was really cool amazing
Thank You Jacob...amazing video
Glad to see you found this place--dad and I and my wife "tripped" over it last summer on a motorcycle trip and had to stop and see what it was all about. Watch out for a large, local, older gentleman who walks with a cane--he "trapped" us for quite a while and went on and on about the "amazing vision someone had to have to make this place a reality..." I don't know about vision--if I recall, it was an operational junkyard that got passed down a generation to someone who couldn't make money selling parts so he keeps the paths mowed and charges you $15 bucks to walk through. "Vision" or not, I guess it worked...the three of us paid them $45 to get in! Anyway, don't forget to buy your Old Car City 2018 calendar on Facebook ;-) Always enjoy your videos!!!
Really Enjoyed That , Thanks
Wow cool place
Very cool, thanks for posting this
Well done video, amazing place with great narration. Thanks for sharing:-)
I love junkyards. This is the coolest one I've ever seen
Tampa Jay I must agree... that's the king of all junk-yards!
I love a good junkyard.
Pretty cool place! Nice job man 👍
I loved the old cadillac, think it was a 53'. So cool.
You wonder how many lives lost, what about the lives created in the back seat of those cars?!
My siblings and I were all created on my Dads 1970’s California King waterbed.
David Siler lol, I've always wanted to lay on a waterbed
The stories these cars had. Fascinating...
fantastic shit man! Keep it up
Cool! Nice one Jacob. ☺
Hats off to you. Great video
F***k art, I want some of those classics.
The Roman Empire yeah why would thay waist perfect car I would restore them
i bet a custom shop would buy all of those cars to restore and use for donor parts
16:59 OMG 1959 CADILLAC
I'm a big time car guy. I've got to check this place out.
You'd love it
Cool junkyard vidow.liked how they stacked up
Cool Video. Thanks for doing it
Excellent video thanks for stopping by!
Thank you! I love this place!
I've been watching the playlist of you and your videos and some of them are creepy, interesting and full of Americana so I subscribed, mostly because you seem like a pretty good guy. Thanks for making all this available.
PS my oldest son is gettin ready to marry a young woman from England and she is fascinated by all the cultural varieties over here. Next time I talk to my son I will tell him to let his bride to be know about this channel!. I bet she will be impressed.
Yeah Wayne's Feed is still open. It got taken out by the tornado we had, but they built it back in the same place it was.
There were so many old mustangs, its almost painful to see them in that condition lol
Also a good amount of old chargers
Old cars are speaking a great Story and have a soul❤
Pretty cool video brother, thank you
Lol scariest shoe ive ever seen...Awesome vid love old junkyards.
5:17 1955 or 1956 Buick Special coupe .
I got to find this place!!! A must see this place with my own 2 eyes
Pretty cool!
Awesome old cars and trucks
Cool junk yard
Thanks for the tour, some of those old coca cola items in there are time period also and just as important as cars. Good stuff.
Awesome!
:)
That was so cool love the ole cars
Unless they sell parts, that is a waste of some great old cars, sad to see so many classics just rotting away for no reason.
I agree Jeff! :)
It was a weird ass, dog shit junkyard.
That's what I was thinking. I get the whole 'museum' aspect... but that only applies if it's being preserved... which obviously this isn't! People would get more enjoyment out of these cars if they were restored or if their parts were used for restorations. Such a waste, as cool as it is.
I agree, I do like looking at cars in this condition, as when you look at them you see what they were/what they could become. In sense when we look at these cars we really see the restored state and not the rusted heap that a non-car person sees. And the reason we look at these cars is because we desire to restore them and bring them back to life, not to poke around in a junk pile, as that's what most likely what the owners are thinking.
Voice of reason Jeff, here is an article with a quote from the owner:
"Like all good art, Old Car City is not without controversy. Collectors hoping to score a bargain leave the place grumbling and dissatisfied. “Everything is for sale,” Dean told us, “But only at a price that makes it worth it for me. If I sell this, it’s gone. I don’t have it anymore. I can’t replace it.”
So it is not a junk yard it is a grave yard. Art? RRrrigh-t.
I like how the bus at 5:13 the doors been open so long the tree has grown around it
Dang young man, I was naming off every car you was passing by me being from Detroit. I used to drive a Hurst of course all decked out in my 10th and 11th year in high school. had a lot of fun with it used to sneak friends into drive-in movies LOL. thanks for the movie carpetbagger yeah love me some junk yards.
nice video thanks
Oh man, that place is so awesome! I bet there are many salvageable cars in there, that resored would be worth a lot of money!! Some of them are found in big Museums!!! So many beautiful classics in there. I would love to see them all! I love old cars n trucks so much!!!! I wish I was rich, I would go rescue them n restore them !!!!!!!!! Thx for going there, I never knew that place existed. More people should learn of that place n go get them a beautiful classic to restore n cherish!!!
The cars returning to earth.....in an artistic presentation! Love it!
Thanks a lot ,now my house smells like old cars! Phantom memories brought back by this unique video.
Thanks for the tour! Stop by and see my tours!
The car at 14:33 is probably a Hearse/ambulance back in the day, the funeral home did both.
Most of those cars can be saved and back on the road. Because the parts that are damaged are usually replaced anyway when a car gets updated to keep up with cars nowadays.
Cool video
Love your videos
ATJH Travels o8
Omg!.. Walkarusa is 10miles from me! & i used to work at a dealership that took over Holiday World RV and became Monaco Coach back in the late 90's
Cool hearse!! :)
This is great Jacob... Be a good place for a f-art show😉👍👍
Steve O there's also an art exhibit (doodle room) in the entrance building where the owner has made some really unique paintings and has drawn on over 3,000 styrofoam cups!
14:26 that cutlass looks good
Now I know why I can't find parts for my truck, there all on the east coast ! I just saw 2 trucks I need parts for there ! 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Which truck you have
Amazing video! If only the cars could talk.... Countless family road trips both good and bad probably happened! Jacob the Car-petbagger??
Indeed~it brought to mind memories of our summer drives dn to Mississippi/Louisiana when I was a kid - everybody & our luggage all smooshed into the teeny Opal Cadet, then me & my dog Fluffy in Daddy's old white station-wagon, & later all of us & Fluffy in Mom's blue Ford Pinto. No seatbelt laws quite yet, so me & the dog could stretch out in back w/the cooler, blankets, my books & roadgames & look out the window, or throw a pillow between the folks & watch out front. The earliest trips were pre-interstate, so there were lots of oddly graded, winding country roads until we made it to the south, then paved straight lines as far as the eye could see. Sigh. I wanna go on a road trip now...
Lot's of FUN !
I’ve just subscribed to the channel.
Great video, Jacob! Did you even see anyone else all day, or were you the only visitor that day?
One photographer
At 13:57 that Greenish-brown car thats halfways up the bed of the red truck.. that is a Dodge Charger R/T those are worth alot!
I thought that was a charger.........
Mormor Veteran it is actually a super bee. there is a charger in the same shot. though. it's on top. greenish blue. also in the intro shot
I thought the same thing!
The greenish blue car on the top is actually a 1965-1966 impala
That silver car is a late 60's lemans convertible. Very sought after for gto clones😨
nice vid. do the full tour
Should have flown the drone there
Go back in, I need more. Thanks Buddy
:) Lol
No opossum hiss when you zoomed in on the creepy shoe? aww lol
Wowzers! I wanna go here! Surprised to see a 2 door post 56 Chevrolet on that car circle! Some of these cats are junk, but a few definitely looked restorable! Those fins are a 60 and 58 Cadillac! Spotted one Corvair! That'd be my art car! Corvairs are awesome little cars!
I love that Volkswagen bus! Restored can be really expensive! (I’m a classic Volkswagen kind of guy!
So cool
Ahhhh the old wood paneled sides boxy station wagon. The Ford Country Squire. Yup, we had one of them loooong ago.... memories 😏
One mans junk is another mans treasure. I just found junk heaven.
Im less than 30 miles from old car city. It is sad to see all those cars sitting rotting away, they use to sell parts I bought quite a few from the old man. Don't know why they stopped. Some hard to find parts in that junk yard.
That's not too far from me, which God like to go visit and scavage for parts! I'm very sure with as many he would sell parts! Nice hat! Thanks for posting this!
I have heard of this place! This is really cool!! Thanks dude!
:)
So Jacob, are any of these junkers still for sale, or is it now just a tourist attraction?
There's an old car yard called Car Corral in Sanger, north of Fort Worth on I-35 but they try to preserve them in the best possible condition as it's a "Pull A Part" place for people restoring an old cars.
thank for your time I would have a good day there
What a place, super cool. Where is it located? Thank you for the video.
Great
Friends, if you are anywhere near Murdo, South Dakota, visit the Pioneer Auto Museum. I've never seen anything like it.
My father worked in a junkyard. He was and still is a mechanic. But junkyard did not last long. Why? He found a substantial part of human head...with brain... in a recently wrecked car. So yes carpetbagger is right. Those cars probably did have a lot of people die between all of them.
So far the 1st two minutes of this video is you Fuckn Around, other wise Great Video, good find on some really rare automobiles 👍
Thanks for the great day be safe and careful take care . GOD bless
