I have the RZ50 with a Monoprice 7x200 Watts Per Channel Amp, My system is 11.2. Is it worth upgrading to the Rz70? I like that the 70 has the dual subwoofers but then i guess i have to spend another 3-400 for the Dirac to manage that.
I need a new processor for my theater to replace the XMC 1. I am adding atmos to the theater so I am trying to decide on what to get. The thing is processors are more expensive than avrs. However I don't want to spend $4,000 for a processor either. I'll like to stay in $2,500 range. What suggestions do you have?
@@JilesMcCoy run it in pre amp mode? Can the amps be disabled in it? I may increase my budget to 3K and keep this one on the short list and see if I can catch a sale
@@JilesMcCoy i love your channel. i am a onkyo fan along with yamaha & sony. i did like jvc as well but they stopped making avr"s. i never owned a denon or marantz so i have no experience with their receivers. anyway i enjoy your channel & your very knowledgeable and informative on audio and video gear. keep up the good work. 👍

Only if you need the channels and the processing.

@@percybedford6266 You can run in preamp mode. Start using the internal amps, then swap over to separates.

I think you are right. I really really want a LD player.
You can still get them 2nd. hand. I have a Hitachi Laser Disc player & well over 100 Laser Discs.
