    I'd like to see a BT or two in Physics Tank Maker. Especially the BT-7 and BT-42.

    There is something that trigger me
    HOW, but why does the front wheel turn ??? Isn't this supposed to detrack the whole system ?

      Christie suspension was convertible, it could run without tracks. Note that the fourth roadwheel is powered.

      I think that road wheel is powered if it is used without tracks. There was a clutch system of some sort that switch the flow of power. When tracks were used, the right upper sprocket drove the tracks.. This was genious for it's era, really.

    • @firenzarfrenzy4985
      @firenzarfrenzy4985 Před 3 lety +7

      The model shown is without tracks. Like in Girls Und Panzer, the tank got tracked and the tracks fell off. So this is how it would steer.
      If the tracks were still on then normal tank steering applies.

      @@firenzarfrenzy4985 exactly
      This thing could work both ways. With or without tracks. With tracks, sprocket is driving, and when without tracks, it is the wheel.. actually, both are driving at the same time, acording to this simulation... sprocket is needed for tracks nonetheless

    Great quality animation, but it was difficult to see exactly how everything works because the camera kept moving around a bunch and didn't stop for long enough to watch everything work together. It was especially difficult to see what the front suspension was doing because the video didn't let you see it clearly.

      If by "done right" you mean completely redesign so it's not a nightmare to repair in the field, then yes. Make no mistake, this was WAY ahead of it's time but the US Army wasn't entirely wrong for sticking with the reliable bogie and torsion bar suspension.
