Canon Vixia HF S100/HF S10 -- Full HD Test Footage 60i/24F 1080p

- A little montage I made using footage I shot to test my Canon HF S100 about a year ago, and other random footage I've captured since then. The video includes 60i and 24f footage. (24F is Canon's version of 24p for the HF S10 and 100 models, with the upgrade to real 24p being the only difference between those and the new HF-S200 and HF-S20 models. When importing to edit, 24F footage is read as 29.97 fps, allowing you to work with the different framerates in the same timeline). I will add annotations to point out 24F footage and 60i footage. Exported at 60i.

Had this camera for several years and love it. I bought mine for under $1k new, but every time I check, the price goes up - It's now over $1400! This tells me that it is quite popular. I did lots of research before buying my first HD camera and this one always came out on top in side by side comparisons - In my original price range of under $1K.
My only minor complaint is that it can record in 1080/60i but not 60P. But HD camcorders were fairly new then, so...
1080/30P looks great, though!

@AleenaBaby12 As vtuyen said, all videos are normally at 1080. You don't need to do anything special get them in 1080. Maybe that person wanted faster uploads or faster exports, and only uploaded 720p versions.

Hey Katiebug, sorry forgot about this question. Although I did try to use the manual focus here, and DID use them on many of my shots as Travis Tritt Fan suggested, the one at 10-15 seconds in was automatic. After trying a few times I realized the camera will focus on whatever's at the center, and after getting it to focus on the plant, then moving away from it slightly will make it focus on whatever's behind it, in this case, the bicycles farther back.

@AleenaBaby12 Yeah I think it was taken off production toward the middle of 2010, and was replaced by the s200. I think the S30 just came out and is replacing that though.

This camera natively supports full HD (1080p), he/she uploaded only 720p to save bandwidth I guess.
I'd probably say he used the manual focus to make the transition.

So you think ther is an advantage to edit 24PFS of the Canon at 29.97? Another thing what is the difference on the footage from the native 24 Frames of the S200 model to the 24P Frames of the S100 model? Can you help me please with these questions? I appreciate your post thank you...
