Lynn, we are living parallel lives right now. I just moved from a big beautiful home in the city to a smaller one in the "country" (not actual country, but away from the city, in a small town, with lots of deer and critters on our land). I miss my home everyday and my heart breaks a little every time I think about it. We have been in remodel mode for 8 months; it's just not my home yet. The projects are too many to count and everyday I'm overwhelmed and wonder "what did we do?" I crave your video's, as I know I'm not alone on this journey, as well as hearing you say many times that we need to be grateful. I am grateful; I just need to remind myself of that daily. Thank you so much for taking us along and being so transparent, it is what I need to see and hear.

I love your home Lynn. I totally agree with you. My last home in Georgia was the most beautiful h9me I have ever had. I totally loved it. At this moment I am living in a bedroom with my daughter and our 4 animals. My husband is living across town with his Mom. We have finally been able to buy a new home and will be signing the papers in a couple of weeks. It has been hard but I know that this house will become our new home and we will make some wonderful memories. Love your honesty so much and love you bunches!!!

Not only do I just enjoy watching your videos...whether it's cleaning or DIY makeovers and decorating...you always bring that "extra" piece so many other creators leave out...that message that we all need to not only hear...but take to heart. I truly voice my gratefulness to God every single day. Thanking Him for waking me up and giving me another opportunity to enjoy and embrace everything that may come my way. As I sit in my 600 sq ft rental...after closing on our previous home we sold...daily... looking for that "forever" home to be closer to our kiddos...grandbabies and have some land...I have to keep reminding myself that I have a roof over my head, food and family...which is the most important of all. Listening to the rumble of the window air conditioner...wanting my central air back...haha...and continuing to remind my self that everything is "temporary". Almost everything we have is in storage units...bringing just what I "thought" we would need, getting frustrated with where to put things or rebuying because I can't remember which storage unit something is in etc. All that said...thank you Lynn for giving me that additional reminder that I needed. As a recovering perfectionist, I wouldn't put anything on the walls until I had everything to complete my vision. I, too, left my dream home and mourned for it far too long. I was so tickled when you were showing the label making. I've had a joy machine for 2 years. I got it for making labels but all I've done is wasted my vinyl cuz I can't figure it out. I'm a hands on person type not a tutorial on line type. I don't know what to do and I wish we lived closer so you could teach me. I'm not stupid I just need to learn and I know it can't be that hard. I love how you actually took the time to show and explain how to make the labels. I wanted my circut joy so badly and all its done has set for over 2 years. (this Xmas will be 3 yrs). Something I like to do at my house is get some of the Home Defense bug spray from Lowes or Walmart. I spray it inside and outside our garage, on my porch, in my basement (unfinished cellar type basement) and even around the outside of my house along the foundation. It helps keep the spiders and bugs at bay. We still get spiders obviously, but it is much less than without spraying. Typically spray in the spring and the fall. I really want to have professionals come out, but I am waiting until we finish up some remodeling we are doing. Thanks for sharing with us!

I was recently divorced. It was a shock and I had no preparation. We had to sell our house. I lost my beautiful home. God provided me a safe little rental to move to. But I want to go HOME. It has been a rough journey. But I am determined to make this little old house my new home. I have put up some cutesy little “home” signs and I constantly am reminding myself that this is now home. I don’t know what I would do without God to lean on. So when you are speaking of your old house, and you are mourning it and moving on, I get you sister!

Sprinkle food grade diatomaceous earth around the foundation of your house. It’ll keep all the bugs out. Twice per year. Home Depot of Lowe’s.

The home we built ended up backing up to an extremely noisy road and entrance. The area grew so fast. We could hear traffic in our house all the time.
