  • Juan Tamariz brings us another phenomenal effect. The spectator chooses four cards from a shuffled deck - red are good luck and black are bad. Card after card is turned over and revealed to be black, to the shared chagrin of the magician and the spectator. As the trick culminates, the magician visually changes all the black cards to red, bringing good luck to everyone.
Bad Luck is an excellent example of the importance of presentation and routining. The possibilities for presentation are incredibly diverse, and the potential for intimate audience interaction makes this trick an amazing treat.

Crazy. Terrible amateur magicians with people raving about them in the comments. Zero comments for such a maestro.

100%!!! Juan is the GOAT 🙌 I own all 5 of his books, “Letters from Juan,” and even then it’s probably 1/100th of what he knows. His lectures are different from any I’ve ever heard.
Dani Daortiz, Jandro, and Javi Benitez were all students of Juan’s - and between them, they have 7 Fool Us trophies! I’m eternally grateful to Tamariz and Daortiz for sharing what they have. It’s a shame purported magicians have never heard of him, let alone studied him.

I bought his book, cause he’s one of the only magicians that I can’t figure out ANY OF HIS TRICKS. Others like David Blane at least one I could figure out but him wtffff

@@salvatoreurso7326The names of the 5 books I own by Juan Tamariz are called:
      1) Mnemonica
      2) The Magic Way
      3) Five Points
      4) Verbal Magic
      5) The Magic Rainbow
Each contains knowledge, tricks, and theory that I have found nowhere else in my 30+ years studying and performing magic. Mnemonica alone gives you enough material to perform effects that will fool everyone you perform for, including magicians.
He’s a genius! I couldn’t recommend those books more, or think of anything better for a performing/working magician apart from adding Dani Daortiz’s work to it…his books, annual course, and instant downloads are designed to fool magicians.
The 12 part ACAAN series by Dani show just how great Juan Tamariz is - and the student has now come close to equaling the master. I hope that helps 🙏

I noticed it wasn't a full deck of cards and he unshuffled at 0:33 and he pulled all the cards out. Would have been more interesting if he said: "Bad luck always comes in threes." and then she pulled out 3 three's!

As you can see starting at minute 3:37 he keeps putting his left hand below the table in this way he can get 4 cards hiding below the table and arrange it in his hands
