What I thought was a nice touch was that Louise slapped Rudy when kissing him. She wanted to slap BooBoo who she also liked, so she likes Rudy.

Rudy is such a tough little guy. He's parents recently divorced, he has really bad asthma, and he's smaller than everyone else his age bar one kid. He's just so chipper and upbeat.

He said he was so excited to finally be included. That probably means Louise was Rudy’s first real friend. That helped break him out of his shell and led to him being part of the gang.

Louise and Rudy have one of the best friendships on the show. Like, they’re so different but it feels like they need each other to balance each other out. Really sweet how he’s not just a punching bag and makes friends with everyone

Honestly Idk if they'd date in the future or not (although it would be adorable), but Louis and Rudy's friendship would definitely last into adulthood and I would love to see it
They spend this whole series building up Rudy as the most precious little guy and then have the ABSOLUTE AUDACITY to subject us to the emotional abuse that was the "The Amazing Rudy" episode.
Even someone as regular sized as Rudy has issues dealing with his parents divorcing. I'm an adult and my parents have been divorced for decades now, but it just reminded me how it'll always be a little tough and that's okay

It’s funny how she likes him, cause he’s kinda wimpy and she makes fun of people like that. Well….scratch that, she did make fun of him, but Rudy’s like….the only person she felt bad for making fun of 😂
Well, Louise makes fun of everyone. Its actualy a sign of respect that Louise treats him like she would anyone else rather than baby him for his disability. The only time she felt bad about it was the one time she wasn't joshing him and he took offence to it (mainly cause he was already stressed about moving to his mom).

Rudy is my favorite character in the show, followed very closely by Bob and Louise. And even before the “Bob, Actually” episode I was rooting for Louwheeze to be canon. Small detail too is in the Big Fish episode Rudy tells Zeke green is his favorite color and Louise’s design is mostly green color. I just know it’s bound to happen between the two.

i do ship them, but i also adore their friendship so so much! LOTS of people don’t ship them because most of them ship louigan (i haven’t come across too many roudise shippers) and just like their friendship too- nobody ignores it! the emphasis on the “platonic” in that episode was almost satire- to show that gene and tina know louise still has a crush on him, and that fact was pretty clear to me from the tone of their voices!
