Today's video is something a bit different - we're doing some POV of Tiger Mountain Side Hustle - an incredible trail on the NW side of the trail system.
Head up to the summit and ride East Tiger Summit to Preston and then link in with Side Hustle. The bottom portion of SH is even lappable. Just turn right and then right at the bottom.

Side Hustle is a riot!! Cannot wait for the trail to dry out a little, was pretty sloppy in a few spots when I rode it. Fantastic new option to have at Tiger and so much fun. Only wish it was easier to string together ETS, ET and Side Hustle for some blue trail madness!

The blind left-dip-right at 2:00 is one of the best things a roller coaster can do, and it's transcribed perfectly to dirt here, with a generous berm at the end to save you if you got caught out. That and the speed-up section just after made me laugh out loud when I rode it last week.

The trail reminds me a lot of Sixth Sense down in Yacolt, generally fast and flowy, but the berms and features are mostly built into the natural terrain rather than built up. Also follows the same theme as a lot of the black trails up there so acts as a progression trail, like how Sixth Sense gives good progression into Thrillium.
Haven’t gotten a chance to ride Sixth Sense - I’ve heard great things!
Connect it with eastside and its the longest flow trail at tiger worth all climbing :)

Missed the beautiful voice overs as well. This trail reminds me of derailed a bit in port gamble but definitely longer. One day I'll have the courage and fitness to climb tiger lol.
Definitely similar vibes to derailed…you can definitely climb Tiger! Just take breaks and mosey to the top. Worth it.

Guess i'll weigh in here...this video needed nothing for me. The footage speaks for itself. Light it up is a strong track, really accompanied the edit nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole video. Definitely pumped to make the drive to Tiger now.

Drainage for side hustle (as for most modern flow trails) is a 5/6. Transitions that go up must also come down, so water tends to pool there. Incredible trail but in the wet wet depths of winter I’d recommend something built with more rocks like Tokul (the whole area) or trails like predator.

For the most elevation drop head up to the summit (I like the usual master link route) then take east tiger summit to prestons then side hustle.
Hey Claire! I was curious as I think you've ridden Galbraith extensively. Do you know of any trails at Galby or in Bellingham that are similar to Side Hustle or ET at Tiger? I haven't found anything there that's a longer, flowy descent, but I have only biked there a few times so far. Thanks!
Hey Levi! SST has a longer flowy descent at Galby - also stringing together a few different trails such as wonderland, keystone and happy hour. Dad bod, cougar ridge and the classic unemployment line are also must rides.
