- Heifetz Institute cello teacher Antonio Lysy, professor of cello at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of music, and winner of a Latin Grammy award for his CD “Antonio Lysy at the Broad - Music From Argentina” joins with pianist Anton Smirnoff to offer a riveting performance of Astor Piazzolla's "Le Grand Tango" in concert at Mary Baldwin University's Francis Auditorium, summertime home of the Heifetz International Music Institute.

Always loved cello and moderno tango
I've been familiar with and have loved Piazzolla's music for years, and my San Francisco-based cellist friend Misha Khalikulov, whom Mr Lysy taught @ UCLA loved studying with him.
