Also this year marks the 10th anniversary of Man of Steel. Fitting that the final chapter in the 'Snyderverse' will feature Zod and his army. It kinda ends as it began.
The final chapter should have been Darkseid finally doing what he does.... scorching the Earth and taking dominion. It's only then Flash does the flashpoint thing, saving mom... erasing the apocalyptic event of Darkseid.... resetting almost everything. A true end to Snyderverse.
I'm pretty sure he traveled back in time, but doing so without being experienced means creating a split where a tangent timeline is created. That split probably got solidified the moment he travels back into his house and saves his mom from Reverse Flash or whoever originally killed her. At the moment he arrived in the past, it probably only changed history, but didn't create a tangent timeline, but the minute he saves his mom, that's when the original timeline needed to be preserved and this one split into an alternate version. There are many ways to do this, so who knows. The show shows The Flash successfully time traveling without fucking up timelines or the world and it also shows him being inexperienced and changing big things enough that it has no choice but to split and he can never get back to the original. I'm guessing in this movie, he fixes things, but never gets back to the original after fucking it up, so to some degree...some changes are permanent, which is why this will "reset" the DC cinematic universe into some different actors playing the same characters in the future (including Affleck no longer being Batman or Cavill no longer being Superman, etc.).
On the topic of Michael Keaton's Batman retiring it wouldn't be because he had to kill someone his Batman being an adaption of the Golden Age Batman he doesn't have a problem killing people, he probably just got his shit rocked and decided it was time to hang up the cape

This long haired Barry gets yellow lightning when he gets activated. Original DCEU Barry with short hair still has the blue lightning. Even the flashbacks are color coded to signify which Barry we're watching.
That’s what we were discussing but doesn’t make sense cos during the trailer the new red suit flash has the yellow lightning and when they go back to back it’s the long haired Barry in spray painted bay suit which has the blue.

I'm guessing that they either switch colors in the process of powering up long-haired Barry, or long-haired Barry steals our Barry's powers in the third act, a la Wanda/Agatha.
I’m fairly certain that the studios were so concerned with all the negative publicity this film has been receiving that they decided to show more cards than they would’ve liked with this trailer. I’m pretty sure they would’ve preferred to keep the multiple Batman/Supergirl/Zod as a large reveal for the theaters, but I also think they need to get as many butts in seats as possible to even hope to break even
I've said it several times on several different reactions now... the joy people get at seeing Keaton as Batman again makes me think everyone would be happy for him to have one more standalone movie to give him his trilogy! He was my first movie Batman back in '89, and I'd love to see him get one last go to finish that Batman's story. Also, Batfleck's new suit looks like the classic grey body, blue cowl and cape and yellow belt.

The new CEOs telling us that Henry was out and that they were going to start a new, had pretty much killed my interest in anything coming out of Warner Brothers. That said, I'm very interested in THIS project! I was shocked to see Michael Shannon back as Zod! I loved him as Zod and was pissed that they killed him off, but I was willing to move on because I liked the Superman movie as a whole. And then the commercial dropped Kara Zor-El on us! I've always wanted a movie with Kara and Zod, and this movie is going to give us that! This movie can be the worse thing ever and I'm still going to watch it, just for these two, but this commercial teased so much more, and it all looks great! At least the old DCU will finish strong...at least it looks like it will, anyway. I don't know if the new DC projects James announced is for me--I'll wait and see--but for now, I'll be checking out until they do something I want to see. I'm disappointed that he couldn't find a way to pick up where Zach Snyder left off and move forward from there. Whatever problem that universe had, this movie could have fixed that, IMHO. Either way, I wish them luck. This movie looks like a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to it. Oh! I hope the actress this movie is introducing as Superwoman remains their Superwoman going forward--what a breath of fresh air! If they want to change thing up, why not keep her?!

I think if they were doing that they would of cast Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I thought it was the original reason why he was Thomas Wayne in BvS because he would be a great Thomas Wayne batman.
I for one do not think his yellow speed force is a byproduct of power or "new level power" but simply that it's his second time getting that power in another universe which makes it yellow and the other Barry getting his power the first time in his own universe making his blue. Also if you look at the shot of him running up the building with his new suit the lightning is yellow. A better comparison would also be the shot where both flashes kick off each other. The shot of him right before both flashes are revealed where he is looking at family photos must be before he goes to another universe.
Going to be interesting how they explain the cookie difference with the lightning because the Barry we know with the short hair definitely has the yellow. Where before it was blue.
Just remember the trailer only shows the 1st hour of the movie. Its gonna be awesome. The cameos are epic and the main villian is awesome. This is the true end of the dceu and the begining of the dcu.

However, Warner Bros./DC didn't have a problem shelving the Batgirl film (fronted by a woman of color) which was completed and cost $90 million dollars. Many people were involved in that project too. It should've been left up to we the audience to decide if the film was any good or not. Then there is the sabotaging of the career of Ray Fisher. Warner Bros./DC is sketchy as hell. So, for me, I'll just keep watching Grant Gustin's version of the Flash - I would've preferred to see him on the big screen anyway.
