They were definitely an interesting mix of genres. Most people really only know the song low but I think its a shame more haven’t heard this and especially the song teen angst. They had some good underrated tunes. Unfortunately for them they we’re essentially thrown into a decade where they had to compete with bands like pearl jam, nirvana, soundgarden, alice in chains, etc. not so much compete with them but when you see those band names its hard to really stand out in a decade where those bands blew up the world. Love the 90’s more than anything. A hell of a lot of amazing musicians and song writers. Without a doubt throw them into that mix
you would not believe how good this song sounds cranked up on a car stereo in the auto section at Walmart during midnight shift!!! LMAO It echoed so beautifully...even the dirty looks from the manager couldn't put a damper on my happiness!!!
My mom is 67 years old. She always loved music and grew up in a musical family. Listened to rock radio stations during her commute into and drive home from the city of Atlanta . One of my favorites for the drive and still have my Cracker CD’s someplace. Thanks for the memories.
Unreal and what a man I’m sure your grandpa was. I sure wish I knew what was my pops? He like many fought and bled in ww2. God bless to all the good men of the world. The world sure knows we need them. Rock on brother 🤝
OMG, just 'rediscovered' this gem! I first became aware of this song, and Cracker, when I was living in America in the 90s (I'm a Brit and back in the UK now, so I suppose I was a Eurotrash girl!). My boyfriend at the time was a manager of a music store on L.I. and I got lots of promo freebie CDs of American bands and singers I may otherwise not have heard of had I not been living there at the time. Cracker was one of those bands and Kerosene Hat was one of the CDs I as gifted by my then bf. I loved it!
What a great band - saw them in a tiny club in Hattiesburg Mississippi years ago. It was a stop over gig for them between Memphis and Gulfport . thought they might play for a hour and be on there way - they tore it up for about three hours. Thanks Dave and Johnny
All these years later and this album rocks still !! Hidden tracks 69, to 99 what great music these Camper Van Bethoven's are. Great music video for the age, boy does lead singer ever look like Woody Harrelson. I sleapt in a park near Sneaky Dee's downtown Toronto, miss those crazy 90's nites
2021 still missing the 90's. I recall being in Paris with my mom and crossing paths with this punk girl wearing all black with her family. We both turned to look back at each other, I was a 15 year old skater punk. Thought about her the rest of that trip and this song will always reming me of that moment in time.
That was me in Tel Aviv - I was 21 and saw this tall, slender girl with kinky hair. We looked at each other for a moment and then walked on. Then both glanced back.
Got to hear them open for Driving N Crying last night in Villa Rica GA, No matter where or when I see them I always have a great time. When Dave & Johnny rip some older material, I drift back 20 years in mind.
Called my mom from a payphone, said I'm down to my last She said, "I put through college. Now go call your dad." And the waitress that he married, well she hung up the phone. You know, she never did like me, but I can stand on my own. Most relatable line in a rock song ever.
This was my Grandads favorite song between us. He was looking for a Euro-trash girl in France, 1944 and didnt find her. I got out of the Army and put this song on while we were drinking whiskey and he got a kick out of it. Before that he always was like "why do you gotta listen to that wierdo music?" While we were getting trashed he belted out with "yeah, i was looking for that same girl" We laughed our asses off. I didnt jave the heart to tell him I found her in a kinda disco night in Erlangen. He died the next year. He told me a lot of shit he never let anyone know at his bedside. Old soldier to new soldier.
I know I'm only 38... I looked up to you and still do. as a ethnic who appreciates your music and trajectory, I really got to say you influenced my childhood Thank you for the music that influenced me the most!
I totally agree. I saw them open for the Grateful Dead in Eugene in'93. They would have stolen the show if the Dead didn't play for a solid 5 1/2 hours of greatness.
This is such an understated performance, brimming over w coolness and Loser vibe. Love it. Never saw the vid til now. The models are amazing. Short teaser clips. Soooo titillating, w attitude. Thank u Cracker and CZcams
I just saw you guys in san jose music in the park! It was an amazing show, thanks for the music! I've never seen so many people so happy--especially middle-aged people still in their work uniforms just rockin out to this! It was awesome, thanks for bringing happiness to the people!

One of the best country western jams of the 90s.
And the 90’s had some gems. Some great CW from Ween, and Supersuckers.

How fantastic where the nineties and Cracker?
Well I've been up to Paris
And I've slept in a park
Went down to Barcelona
Someone broke in my car
And I'll search the world over
For my angel in black

Took the train down to Athens
And I slept in a fountain
Some Swiss junkie in Turin
Ripped me off for my cash
Yeah I'll search the world over
For my angel in black
Yeah I'll search the world over
For a Euro-trash girl
The CRS on the Metro
Shook me down for a bribe
On my knees for the sergeant
When my passport arrived

And the waitress that he married
Well, she hung up the phone
Ya know, she never did like me
But I can stand on my own
Sold my plasma in Amsterdam
Spent it all in a night
Buying drinks at the Melkweg
For a soldier in drag
And I'll search the world over
