- First incident of youngest Hands Donation in India of a 14 Years age boy done from Surat through Donate Life.
For the first time in our country multiple organ donation such as donation of Heart, Lungs, Liver, Corneas and both hands of a young boy who was ongoing dialysis and waitlisted for kidney transplant was done from Kiran Hospital Surat through Donate Life.
This was 1st Hands donation along with 37th Heart, 22nd Lungs, 172 Liver and 310 Corneas donation from Surat through Donate Life.
Family members of 14 years of age Dharmik Ajaybhai Kakadiya of Leva Patel Samaj donated heart, lungs, liver, cornea and both hands of their beloved son and set an example of humanity by giving new lease of life to 6 persons though organ donation.
Hands transplantation was done at Global Hospital Mumbai.
Heart transplantation was done at CIMS Hospital Ahmedabad.
Lungs transplantation was done at MGM Hospital Chennai.
Liver transplantation was done at Zydus Hospital Ahmedabad.
Corneas transplantation was done at Kiran Hospital Surat
Amidst the difficult times of COVID 19 pandemic when there was decrease in the ratio of Cadaveric Organ Donation in India, Donate Life has been able to persuade the donation of 48 Kidney, 28 Liver, 11 Heart, 18 Lung, 1 Pancreas, 48 Corneas, total donation of 154 Organs - Tissue and 2 hands which gave new life and vision to 141 people across India and Globe.
We salute the family members of Late Dharmik Ajaybhai Kakadiya age 14 for their brave decision to donate the vital organs of their beloved one after doctors declared him brain dead.
We are very much thankful to Doctors and Management of Kiran hospital Surat for their wholehearted support to this noble cause.

Great emotional decision by parents especially mother as she is herself dying hundred times more with pain for her son. I salute the mother who thought of keeping her son alive by donating vital organs and saving another mother from suffering the same pain that she's going through. Lots of prayers to your family.
