Poor sweet baby. She does not deserve this. Her people need to do much better or let someone have her that will. She is a wonderful dog.

Her fur is gorgeous, she deserves long luscious hair and owners who can upkeep it!
Also looks like she wasn't in pain during the ear mat clipping, she leaned into the hand and appeared to really enjoy it.

How can you think she would enjoy someone pulling the skin off her ear....she was learning into it to lessening the pulling, however she DOES get RELIEF from the weight of the matted hair

I’m wondering if this dog has bad allergies in her ears. She may scratch them constantly which would cause matting within days. You can see they are itchy while he’s working on them

He said (about 07:00) she has fleas. No wonder her ears itch. Poor pup.
Plus that terrible smell he talked about was coming from somewhere. Can you imagine how itchy you would be if your hair were so filthy the smell “makes me puke” as he said. What an awful thing to do to your dog letting it get like that.

She really looked to be appreciating the ear clip, it must have gotten to the itchies that she could never get to herself.
What a sweet, sweet girl. You can tell by the way she tilted her head when you were doing her ears, that it must have surely been hurting her. Yet not a peep and when she was looking into your eyes, you could just see the thankfulness that she was feeling because she knew you were helping her! I also love your sensitivity to her (and all the dogs you do and what they are going through) so you stop and pet them and show them some love and kindness to give them a break. Thank you Damjan what you did for her!! ❤️

I think when a dog is this well behaved that they are just so grateful for your good intentions that come with a lot of kindness, care and LOVE. I believe they are thanking you by being so calm. It’s like they just give themselves to you because they know you LOVE them first, then care for them. GOD Bless you BOTH!!!! ❤

I could totally feel and understand your frustration during this groom. It must have been a huge relief for both the dog and you to get all those mats out. Even though it's not me and it's not my dog, I so appreciate that you gave the dog (and yourself) a break and took time to play with her. She's such a sweet, beautiful girl and deserves to be cared for and loved. I completely agree with you that people should not have dogs if they can't (or won't) give them proper care. Grooming is as important as proper diet and everything else for the health of dogs, cats and all pets!
She is such a sweet dog. I don't understand how people can own animals and treat them as if they have no feelings. You are a patient and caring man. I loved when you gave her a little break and loved on her. She knew you cared and she trusted you.

Good job, Damjan! This is unforgiveable neglect of a pet dog. What an awful owner. Those ears would have been infected soon, flea bites, food rotting, bacteria, skin cells, disgusting. I could smell it from here, yuck! There should be automatic citations for owners like this. Poor little dog. So glad you saved him with a full shave down. What a sweet dog too! Thank you.
I have fallen in love with this stunning dog, she is gorgeous in looks and nature. She looks so much more comfortable after that fantastic groom and definitely loves attention. There are many reasons why dogs don't get brushed and I can't criticise the owners for not brushing her but I can for not having her groomed by you regularly, they obviously know where you are and what you do. If it was me owning her I would opt for a regular brush n bath than putting my dog through an extended visit for a shave down etc. You are quite right to charge extra as you are having to spend more time grooming. The great thing about the groom is, she gets to experience some tender loving care and play times..... Fantastic as usual Damjac x

@@-Kristeen No, it's not the same video. In the previous video, the dog's body hair was a bit longer, more curly. Damjan started shaving her back first, then he worked on her ears. There was another dog kept in a kennel in his shop.
@@-Kristeen No. What does the bathtub give away? Nothing. Damjan wears different T-shirts in both videos, look at the designs on his shirts: a black and white picture here, red numbers in the old video. The irrefutable fact is that Damjan begins working on the dog's ears first here; in the older video, he started by shaving down her back first. If this was an older video, what kind of trick would he use to show that the dog's body had been untouched when he started working on her ears?

Bless you for all you do. I still can't understand some people. If you don't want to be bothered or can't afford, don't get a dog that needs regular grooming. I have a wire hair jack Russell. She needs regular, or as regular as I'm able, grooming. It's more of a cosmetic than beauty thing. But she doesn't chew her feet when they are taken care of regularly. Matting is not just ugly but very painful. Be responsible. Some groomers will work with you.

My favorite breed, the Cocker Spaniel. And she IS super sweet. I think she needs to sit because she is tired from standing so long.

Her ears would be silky and spectacular with regular grooming. I'm a cat person who was traumatized by the neighbor's cocker spaniel as a kid, and even I want this lovely girl. I hope the owners do better by her.

As you commented on the putrid smell, I could not imagine what torment it was for a dog with such an extremely acute sense of smell.
Can you imagine how heavy her ears were 😳. The allergies can be helped by allergy shots and ear & flies by shots as well, if it keeps up maybe intervention is needed or help w/the cost if the owners have fallen on tough times. This spaniel belongs with a family that will give her the time she requires. You need to brush a cocker every single day and keep their ears clean and dry. I'm sure she has bad yeast infections in both ears - and it is the most horrible smell! She's a very sweet girl. It amazes me how these dogs sense that they are being helped. Since she is a previous client, how long does it take for those ears get so matted like this? Months? Years? I would have liked to see the whole groom with bath. She looked so grateful
This is the 2nd time she was there. The owner is not brushing this furbaby! And that is the problem!!!
They should not have pets!!! Period!
Daily brushing will keep the hair from matting. Matting is painful, and so uncomfortable for a dog.

My 7yr old working cocker spaniel hates her ears being brushed and won’t let me do them so I make sure she goes to the groomer every 10 - 12 weeks. To let that sweetheart get so matted is pure neglect

I wanted to mention some helpful ideas. I’ve seen another dog groomer who uses different height dog stands that go under the dog’s’ tummies to keep them standing so you can groom easier. Also I heard that if you put Vick’s ointment under your nose it helps with the awful odor.

I have 4 of these dogs. In America we call them English cocker spaniels They need to be groomed once a month to keep up with there cot. I do my own grooming. I use to do other peoples dogs but it get to be too much. Love this breed They are so sweet. My boy is the sweetest.

She is such a lovely dog and I would love to have her. She looks to be from well bred stock and would cost quite a lot of money so why would you allow a dog to get in such a state? A very nice job you have done on her Damjan. I hope they bring her back to you when she needs it and not leave her for such a long time.

Oh my gosh! That brings tears to my eyes. I had a beautiful, loving Cocker that color for many years and I can't imagine letting her get to that state of neglect. Knots like that cause such physical pain to the dog. I think that owner should be charged with animal abuse for letting it get to that stage.
