The actress: Nina Wadia stopped watching Eastenders when she quit and she said she left because she got sick of filming. Nina played Zulla in the heartwarming 2019 Aladdin. Nina also said she sees herself as a comedian actress.
Zainab was a beautifully complex character. Stubborn, yet inexplicably kind. She had the strength to help people change, and changed, herself. She’d been through hellish abuse and violence at the hands of Yusuf, and even a tough second marriage; with tests to do with Syed’s sexuality and Masood’s gambling problems. She became a wonderful mother/in-law to Tamwar, Syed, Amira and Christian. I miss the whole family together! Their storylines were what introduced me to Eastenders.
I did find her sanctimonious nature a little irritating sometimes but there was a lot more about her I liked than I didn’t. Masood was never the same after she left.
I hope in the future Masood come back in the future this is such a great family they have their ups and downs but they still stuck together no matter what hope to see you guys in the future
i saw an interview with her saying she didn't like her character at the end she stopped being funny and just started being naggy and depressing, kind of agree with her they did ruin her towards the end. i wish the masoods would come back! syed/amira/christian was one of the best storylines.
