  • Raw video of my 1st data logging test drive. My Innovate LM-2 broke and so I wired up my PLEX and fed it to the HPTuners. I am not 100% confident that I have the proper "transform" numbers but I still wanted to get the wide band data. No tuning today. It's raining now. But anyway....If this wide band data is close enough to accurate I can data log MAF only and then VE only and do slight adjustments to those tables. You'll see that in some later video.

      I'll be out again this weekend to see if the fuel pump is supplying enough fuel pressure at WOT.

      The Golen 395 LT1 most likely has 550 hp seeing the AFR heads and the large duration camshaft. Usually an engine with this combo that I put on the dyno makes 550hp (or more). So that's my guess. I've been doing the fine tuning today and the motor is still awesome.

      Thanks. Easy tuning for driving and WOT but perfect idle and start up is not so easy.

    I’d love to see what you change and why. I am in the middle of tuning one of my car that I swapped to a 0411 pcm right now.

      I'll make a video about the changes I'm making for today's street tuning. I'm starting with the MAF only. Open loop and with the wide band O2 recording. Taking a break right now and then will go out and data log a VE (speed density only) and trim in the VE table versus the wide band O2. Then I'll take it back to Closed loop enabled and see how she runs...with the MAF and VE blended like stock.

    Making some good progress. She wants to rip. Gotta love the C4 ebrake. Seeing this makes me miss my C4 and its quirks.

      I had a tire shop call me and ask me to come down to release the parking brake on my old C4 so they could get the car into the bay. I didn’t leave my car with mechanics after that (with one exception).

      I have a friend that worked at a tire shop just out of high school who may have made that call. Smart guy just naive to the C4. He told me the story after I bought my C4. On the upside it doubles as an anti theft device @@DanOnFire

      This was a customer car and I really don't know what was in the transmission for clutch and flywheel and such
