- With almost 2000 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience, it's no wonder that there's been an awkward moment or two. This video will look at various moments from Joe Rogan's podcast in which Rogan and his guest ventured through an awkward moment.
From Mike Tyson to Jordan Peterson, these are The Most Awkward Moments In Joe Rogan History.
Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, SunnyV2
Also, the idea for this video was inspired by OGA ARCADE who posted a video on a similar topic in March 2021 titled " JRE Awkward Moments " You can watch their version here - • JRE Awkward Moments - Zábava

And Rogan and Peterson have a good relationship, so it doesn't matter.

To be fair, it was a outrageous ask. Joe certainly could have played it a bit cooler tho lol
I feel like it was Moxies lack of perspective that got joe so upset. He also just kept asking after the answer was no. Joe was honest, bluntly honest at the end because dude wouldn’t move past it.

It's amazing to see Mike Tyson go from a very violent and mean boxer to an amazing guy with a huge heart. It can be very difficult for people to change like that.
I don't think he was a mean boxer. Look up a compilation of all his knockouts -- first thing after the referee calls the fight he's right up next to his opponent giving him a hug and making sure he's not too badly hurt.
@@pottingsoil723Not sure how much you know about Tyson, I’m pretty sure he’s not talking about his sportsmanship when he says “violent and mean” 😂
Mike Tyson is an amazing guy, he did once fought a street fighter who ends up getting punched out with Tyson's mighty fist and converted him into a Christian.

@@ChristelVinot tbh, we're lucky his brain rolled over on the "teddy bear button" instead of the "grizzly bear button"

In Joe’s defence, the awkward moments with Mike Tyson are 100% Mike’s fault because he’s hard to read sometimes 😂
"sometimes" is a massive understatement lmao. But, yeah, I think 99% of people would've also misread those situations.
That and he’s missing a few brain cells from the constant beating from his job.
Maybe, but I wouldn’t risk laughing in Mike Tyson’s face no matter what he said.
It was also fight Mike Tyson vs pothead Mike Tyson
The best thing is Joe got a larger table in the studio because he was a little afraid of people being able to get over it easily
The one where he completely disregards the guys dad who died to focus on video quality, really hurt. And then the fact he turned around too and slowly stopped talking about his dad, I can’t imagine how he felt.
I would have just walked out. I wouldn't have made a big scene, but there's no point in continuing the conversation after something like that.
I don’t think he meant to, its just a really unfortunate case of unintentionally being a bit obtuse.
Boomers do that a lot. They don't listen.
@@col.nugget1524 perhaps, but the fact he didn’t say anything not even a “give me a sec” or “hold right there”, was wierd

SunnyV2 has somehow found a way to make awkward moments on a podcast sound like a serious topic
This just seems like he ran out of content and is going for click bait. Joe Rogan is popular but this video is stupid. Oh no! People get stupid, quiet or awkward during an hours long conversation! Find something interesting instead
It's just the background music. Makes his every video serious. Even the light ones.
Exactly... this was a bizarre video he did. Clearly hes running out of steam and made this just for "content"
Yeah idk about this one.

He's a really talented dude to be able to be under that pressure and keep up conversations with experts in every field, and to be able to deal with these moments. For someone with 2000+ episodes, maybe a lot more, these moments are very tame lol. And a lot of these examples are from when the show was live on youtube. Guy is not perfect as a human (no one is), but he's about as perfect as one could be at socialization.. even while drinking and being high as a kite. The guy is a genius at simply socializing. And that's a very difficult and rewarding thing to be an expert at.
It’s not really as much about being difficult, as it is luck. It comes FAR easier for some people than others. That said it is something everyone can improve.
@@blackops9572Not true. Conversation skills are something you develop over time. Some people are more social than others, but it’s been proven that reading and speaking more with others will improve your skills as a conversationalist. Anyone can do it, it’s not luck. It’s like any other skill.
@@frozenrats It can be improved. But some people start much higher than others off rip. It really isn’t just skill. That’s only part of it. I’d say it’s like being able to sing. Everyone can learn and improve to an extent. But some people it just comes natural to them.

I remember Rogan talking about his experience with Mike Tyson. He said he had considered getting a smaller table to be closer to his guest, until Tyson came. He was so fired up that Rogan was actually worried Tyson may take a swing at him, and he was glad the table gave them distance. He said most people he wouldn’t worry about, but Tyson being in that state, he didn’t want to find out what it’s like to be on the receiving end of that.
Mike Tyson seemed tweaked out on something. Weird af.
That could be, but thats also “his time to reflect on his life” it could be that it was serious to him and that he was having an emotional buildup from years of hold back.
@@chazbarns1410 yea, Tyson is a very intense person and even with all the growing he's done over the years, some of those demons he's had to deal with are just as intense. All of the reflecting and introspection he's done have arguably saved his life, and it seemed like he came on the podcast expecting Joe to understand. I think Joe understood that it was very specific to Tysons life, but didn't do it with the respect Tyson earned in those moments.
@@DontReadMyProfilePicture.7Dont worry, no one will
The whole podcast I was worried about his life.
Most of these were not awkward. One thing I have had to learn in conversations is to not be bogged down by silence. Silence usually indicates thought. A lot of these were just thinking moments. Hardly awkward to anyone versed in how to talk to people
I absolutely loved the Mike Tyson episode. Truly an introspective look at Mike

I feel like the compliment back and forward between Jo and David was actually quite perfect and couldn’t have gone any better for two humble people
i know right, it wasn’t awkward at all
Joe Rogan is not humble.
He doesn't like compliments. Becouse the people on his show are more often than not his enmeys. He does not like to have his enemy's humanized. Which is understandable its how wars are won. Humanizing the enmey or letting them humanize YOU. Creates a problem. You are there to utterly destroy them.
@@jbmp1390 correct. Rogan doesn't like compliments. Becouse the people on his show are often there becouse they are his enemy's. He is there to crush them. Having your enemy humanize you creates conflicts of interest and can't be allowed to happen.
humble? did we not watch the same video where he relentlessly humiliated that guy as being poorer than him, like how dare some nobody thinks he can compare to my level of success? sounds like an insecure b*tch to me.
Everyone of these made me laugh so much but trying to follow the train of thought is just hurting 😂😂😂
this video is done w/ class - giving realistic context and commentary. kudos.
I find it amazing that if you consider how many awkward moments the average person has, in 5000+ hours of Joe Rogan content, the top ten most awkward moments wouldn't even breach the average persons top 100 list
Make sense when you consider it's a podcast that specifically works to not have "dead air" or moments like that. Ideally you really should just have enough questions/ideas prepared that you're not sitting there with a ton of silence. You also want to have at least a basic enough understanding of what's being talked about that you have some fallback questions or topics to fall back onto if the current discussion isn't leading anywhere. That's just general stuff you should be prepared for in the case of a recorded interview though.
@@Womenarenotequalokay that's the best response I've had to one of these comments hahaha, I shouldn't be surprised how dumb the average person is but it gets me every time

I think awkward situations are natural phenomena that are part of our reality. It will come and hit everybody sometime. That's how I try to rationalize this things among others. What's also interesting that awkwardness is often at least partly a reflection of your own world view and your own feelings. For me the first situation is not awkward at all alongside with the last situation.
I think most of us agree the first one is not awkward at all 😅
The Peterson part is more silly than awkward. Like we’ve all had conversations like that where you can’t even remember where it started

For those wondering why the last interviewee said his life was in danger from the subject, it's most likely because he was talking about a specific type of mushrooms, portobello, that are apparently a heavy business interest of the mafia; he would talk about how they actually have no medicinal benefits and about how they are possibly carcinogenic, much to the dislike of the mafia who then in turn threatened him.
