      LoL. I meant it's an oxymoron because even though Leatherman beats the quality game, it still loses so much by the price point it's a loss.
      Like in the Civil War every time Robert E. Lee won a battle it was still a loss because the South was running out of men and resources. Some said the South couldn't afford even to win. That's the territory where I see Leatherman heading Into.

    Just picked up the SQT Ti. Hard to beat for the price. Works great. The only change I would make is to see if the file could be longer.

    So an annoying thing about the Diacamping bit drivers, having carried and used several, is if using the plies and say use the tool to tap something in place or drop the tool the bit falls out, on 3 different tools I have gone to use the bit driver only to find it's missing! I never had this problem with a Leatherman tool.

      You must not own a skeletool. The “bit storage” bit falls out immediately. Unforgivable for a $90 tool. My skeletool is gathering dust somewhere just because of that. Overpriced garbage since bits are rarely available (I had a t6-t8 bit there).

  • @Castleknight
    @Castleknight Před 4 měsíci +1

    As far as asthetics, I like the look of the DL7 more than the L. Charge. I prefer the slicker look without all that "branding" and rough texture of the L. Charge. I know that's just a personal thing. But it's hard to pay so much more for a Leatherman than these nice clones. So hard in fact, I won't do it. I'll go with the clones.

    I can’t decide if I want to pick up the SOG Power Access for $36 on Ali Express or the SQT 2048 on Amazon for $39. What do you all think?

    • @georgegonzalez2478
      @georgegonzalez2478 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @Jaz_ZILLA. I sympathize with your dilemma.The SOG is awesome but you have to look at what are you getting versus what your not in the multi tool plus what can you do with it,like switch out tools and accessories wether original manufacturer or others.These are the case scenarios you need to consider.All the best to you.

    Do these multitools with 1/4 bit drivers typically accept power drill bits?

    • @blade9292
      @blade9292 Před 4 měsíci +2

      They do but I think you have to put a magnet or use a ball detent adapter with a magnet or a ring to hold any bits

    I'm confused witht the title of this video. "Beats... and loses"???

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  Před 4 měsíci +2

      So what I meant was that even though Leatherman really beats the DL7 in quality and engineering and attention to detail, because the price is so high, $150 more it really still loses. It's not really $150 better.

    this bit driver in daicapming multitools is nice but there is no option to buy spare one or additional (at least on aliexpress with shipping to eu).. Magnet mod is some way to use different (standard 1/4) bits but not ideal.
