I agree, Kitt would be cool. (so many stickers I bet) I keep seeing the A-Team van pop up on Ideas. I hope that happens as well.
I’m still in awe at just how amazing this set looks, those new slopes for the hood look excellent. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
Michael J Fox has said in interviews that the doors on the actual car would fall all the time and smack his head. Apparently the air cylinders were never strong enough to keep them reliably in position.
*That set is phenomenal, I can't await building this too!*

I really appreciate a review from a fan of the films that can accurately describe the components of the vehicle...most of the reviewers don't seem to know what they're talking about! And I would love to see a LEGO Mad Max Interceptor! 😎

Thanks for mentioning that the doors do not stay open (some reviewers are calling this a ‘feature’) but for me these ‘falling doors’ are now holding me back on purchase which is a shame
The falling doors could actually be considered a feature.
Michael J Fox has stated that he hated the car specifically because the air cylinders weren't strong enough to hold the doors, and they regularly smacked him in the head.
The doors were a massive problem on the real Delorean too. So yes, I would consider it a feature.
It’s just the way it is I guess , nothing is perfect but sorry not a feature imo. Just wished it worked like I’d expect so I can look at the inside details without holding doors open, will still buy it though.
I don’t know if you noticed this but the back most cooling vent things are up too high.

I can’t wait for this. I saw this movie when I was 6 years old and now my son is 8, and he loves this movie. I might have to buy 2 of these awesome cars.
It shipped out, Im waiting delivery. As a long time fan of the trilogy Im excited to start building. After waiting all summer because it was out of stock, I was able to get the second release in September. Great video, makes me even more excited 👍

Welp I just bought it and I hope it arrives as soon as possible. And this is the one set I’ve wanted for the longest. Only other big set I have is a millennium falcon set. And this right here is my favorite car of all time. And I love these films.

im picking it up the moment the store opens. I missed the last McLaren F1 by 20 minutes at my local store and now its being scalped for +$100 over the original price on every website out there. Not gonna let that happen again, especially for my favorite 80's movies and one of my all time favorite trilogies

Back To The Future is my favourite film of all time. I can't WAIT to get my hands on this gorgeous set!
It looks great! My few knit picks would be the grey chunkyness around the door window head and sill and the outsides of the rear tail lights.
Ok! Bought it and built it! I replaced the wedges at the bottom of the window in the doors with a flat piece and it looks way better! Less chunky and bigger openings. I added the air intakes below the front bumper. Also scooted the seats back a stud and it opens up the inside and is more accurate I feel. The steering wheel was sitting on the seat basically.
I’m going to do more mods as I look at it, but those are quick easy ways to improve it!
First thing I’ll probably do is use the extra hoses to fill in around the engine. There are huge gaps, probably for swapping out the reactor between the episode one and two cars.

I agree that kitt would be a vary cool set but I would also like to see maybe Jurassic park tour car or the GyroSphere those to me would be cool in my Opinion

ironically the kit mimics real life as the real delorean doors where notorious for not staying up and or leaking

I bought this set at 12:05am April first at the Lego shop at home, I have been waiting so long for a set like this to arrive and Lego didn't disappoint,. My only regret is that they didn't release the minifigure version or other sets from the movies, it would be a great opportunity if they put things right this time.
An im pretty someone will come up with a lighting kit for this soon.

It doesn’t even look like LEGOS!!! They cheated and just made smooth model parts
It's not very pleasing to look at. The door pillars are way too thick. The whole side of the car should be angled at the waistline. There's too much sidewall on the tires, the ones that are on it look like truck tires. The absolute slab sidedness of the LEGO kit really puts me off buying this set. It's just ugly.
