      @Mybiz I apologize for the confusion and my snarled up syntax. I’m still trying to get the hang of the English language. And in full disclosure, it’s the only language I actually know. Thanks to questionable lifestyle choices that I often seem to not learn from, I’m down to about nine brain cells. Not proofreading is among those poor choices that I have made. I appreciate your civilized way of pointing out my error and not roasting me to a crisp. Stay bold, stay beautiful and keep loving music.

    • @ga0425
      @ga0425 Před 4 lety +6

      @Al Rivers thank you for your perceptiveness & kindness. You’re absolutely correct. It’s like you have my back in a time where most people would just pile on & mock & roast me. Know that I appreciate you, your perceptiveness and that I am wishing health and happiness to you and yours. Stay kind, stay brilliant. This world needs more folks like you. Peace to you Al Rivers.

      @mrmockatoo You are another example of the high level of quality individuals who frequent this channel. Passionate little geniuses & music lovers who understand when enthusiasm, voice-to-text & an indefensible habit of failing to proofread cause goofballs such as myself to post gibberish. Your willingness to try and decipher and explain my post is a rare and beautiful thing in these days of trolls and keyboard warriors. Stay rad and stay golden. I bow my head in appreciation and thanks to you for you being you. You Rock!

    Most of their albums still have a timeless feel for me. When I get tired of my rock and roll, I always go back to Jazz and Steely Dan. Newer music is a hard sell for me and I accept that I'm era based because I listen to anything from the early 80s back to as far as you want to go. The idea that there are people just discovering Steely Dan is a bit of a thrill for me because that's how huge they were for my brother and I. I should mention that there are couple of other guys who have tuned into Steely Dan as well. You can't argue with numbers. Another thing I had edit and add, you have to remember what everyone else was doing when this came out. I don't know if they were ahead of everyone else but they certainly captured what I recall from the time.
