I always believed "No Bach, no Skid". But I saw Skid Row with Erik at the M3 festival 3 weeks ago in Maryland and that kid has some voice man! I was impressed! Have seen Skid Row in the past with Bach and never thought I would bother seeing them again but Erik changed my mind. Great voice and stage presence. Will definitely see them when they come to NY.
Still would need Rob Affuso back on drums. But this 'new' lead singer is awesome.

He’s better than Bach, Bach wasn’t really ever that good live , saw him in 90 and he sounded terrible, Eric is baddass live each and every time. Kids got pipes and he’s not a tool like Bach…

When I was a teen, like early 80s, I knew nothing of hard rock music. Then I started hearing the 80s bands like the Skids, Warrant, Ac DC, GNR, and sooo many others. My likes turned from pop music to rock and roll. I can't believe I actually liked Madonna for years until I found metal. Now I can't stand hearing through my ears pop music! Long live rock and roll. Blast some DIO when u can. Love it. The music is power! Have an awesome day!

Just to put this into perspective for some of you: Skid Row getting one of the undisputed top metal/hard rock vocalists in the scene today (Erik Gronwall), is the equivalent of a band like CCR back in 1991 getting Sebastian Bach to join them. Take a moment to let that settle in, to appreciate just how fortunate Skid Row is to have Erik on stage with them.

@@bluesman7865 i never said the second was going to be a ballad. I said from the sound of the video he posted, he sounded like a rocker.. And the formula for these types of bands has usually always been 2 rockers, then a ballad for single releases.
Honestly, Erik was the only natural replacement to Baz he even hits the notes on the record which bazzy boy cannot do himself anymore to be fair, he is over fifty years old now so its to be expected, hiring Erik keeps the music alive for the next generation as its supposed to be heard! i've always a fan of skid row from back when i was watching them on mtv with sebastian. erik is a great singer as well. it'd be cool to have seen them live.

Ok Im 53 years old, I started listening to Slayer, Iron Maiden etc. way back in the early 80s. Im a huge Slayer fan to this day, and all metal in general. But I remember when I first heard Skid Row back in the day. I was like, its not my typical listening material. But I liked it. It wasn't fuckin "Hair Metal" so that was a start. They had a good aggressive sound, and really an all around great band. Again not my cup of tea, all the time but if it was playing I didn't knock it. But I knew they would be super popular. Well the years have went by and Bach turned out to be everything you hate in a person. I did like him in Trailer Park Boys though. But his vocals at the time were amazing. Never saw them live so I cant speak on that. I see a lot of people saying he was horrible live. But again I don't know. To be honest I didn't know Skid Row was even still around. So I bring up my YT and in my suggestions in this shit. So I'm like, "what the fuck is this? I thought you guys were dead." My curiosity got the best of me. I start listening and I'm like, "ok doesn't sound too bad." Then this fuckin kid starts singing. I DONT KNOW WHERE IN THE FUCK YOU GUYS FOUND THIS SINGER BUT HE IS AMAZING!!!!! Off the top of my head I'd say he is the best new heavy metal singer I have heard in decades. IMO. So after listening to this song I went to find a live song with this dude in it. I wanted to see what he sounded like over the old SB tracks. I have to say I was completely blown away! With this music and his sound I completely see a SR come back. Its funny watching him "live." The whole thing reminds me of Mark Wahlburg in "ROCK STAR". His stage presence is a little weird to me. But hey maybe that's how the younger metaheads act now. I will buy my first Skid Row album when this comes out. I wish you guys all the luck in the world climbing back to the top.
