Totally agree. Back then Simple Minds vied with U2 but somehow lost their way into super stardom. However their early stuff is incredible and way above anything U2 could match. Jim Kerr fronted the band brilliantly with proper musicians behind him. Just love them.
Spot on Steve. Seems when Kerr sacked Derek Forbes they lost that sound that was there’s. Brilliant sound that it was. Then came the political shit. And that was them done. Such a shame because they should’ve been elevated into superstardom.
