The dancing is so pretty, but I could hear how much fun the string section in the orchestra was having! The music is so beautiful and the orchestra sounded divine playing it. What a stunning ballet overall!

I was very fortunate to see this ballet last night and I found it one of the most moving pieces that I have seen for a long time. Cathy Marston has created a piece of dance that transcends just being a piece of entertainment and conveys a powerful message about the nature of artistic creativity and how once gained it can so quickly be lost as to what happened to the Cellist Jacqueline Dupre. All the dancers of the Royal Ballet were magnificent as always, but of course it was Lauren Cuthbertson who was outstanding in the central role, she embodied the character of the cellist body and soul. She was outstanding and I really hope the Royal Ballet revive again. It was a privilege to witness such a great work.

I really like the profession, grace and fluency of the dancers movements.
While some points of the choreogrphy didn't make much sense to me, I'm quite impressed how well a pas de trois can look on stage. Overall it's truly a stunning performance.

i love the way in which that very instant of surrender and capture was expressed. For me, better than The Red Shoes.. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful choreography. Seamless. At first, I didn't appreciate that the pleats on his shirt represented the strings. Ditto, beautiful!!! Art, thou art oxygen for the soul!!!! (Whoa! Just looked at some of the other comments. Glad I didn't write this then, I would have been derivatived to shreds! But, I would have looked good!)

I wonder what it's like to be a living person, and the subject of a ballet. Have a personal, complicated and emotional time of your life exposed on stage. Have somebody you love turned into a character. Not sure it's right to do that to a person.

Polyamory with the love for her husband and the love for music then !
The dancer in brown (Marcelino Sambé) is representing the cello, and the one in black (Matthew Ball) Daniel Barenboïm (conductor and husband).

all that supposedly emotive flinging around in the misguided MacMillan style is not a place 202O choreographers should be looking to for their derivations. It's actually laughable.
