Since the release of Chapter 5 Season 3, the game has has faced tons of criticism as casual players love it but pros hate it. In today’s video I explain the history of Casuals vs Sweats.

Also add Siphon back. One of the best features ever. Why did they remove it gettib reward for kills? Sometimes in competitive you kill someone snd get third partied with like 8 hp. You're just dead.
Fortnite has not said a word about the reason why siphon was removed. I hope it returns but the chance is close to 0

Splitting the loot pools between pubs and competitive might be a good idea, but it wouldn't fix this problem. I suck, thus I only play pubs, I can't stand the car on car combat. I just want fortnite to go back to feeling like fortnite. This season ain't it. And there is no nerfing or fixing it at this point. You either make it so no one wants to get in a car (which ruins the season theme) or it's all car on car combat. I tried so hard to like this season, but I can't. I am looking for a whole new game to play.
If you have a few buddies to share a world with, Lego Fortnite is actually really fun and such a nice break from the chaos.

I am basically in your situation too. Ever since my laptop broke, I have to play Fortnite mobile to play Fortnite and recently the lag and OP shit this season is unbearable for me. I'm stuck in elite and I have a win rate lower than ever in pubs, 2% 💀😭 also I had to switch to controller which doesn't help me much with the situation cuz input lag creates a low max skill ceiling + 60 ping also makes it worse too
Tf2 is a pretty good game that has longevity, besides the. Ots it'll be a great time
The simple answer is to take all of these op items of ranked. Pro players and sweats can play ranked to not have to deal with the op items and casuals can play pubs.
fr just let good people improve in ranked and let the casuals have fun with broken items in pubs
@@goatuyI’m a casual and I hate this new season. Items are way too OP, and I don’t have hours a day to be able to practice to keep up with the sweats in every lobby. I got about 15 crown wins (that’s very good for me) last season, and this season so far I’ve gotten 1 normal win, total. Vault the cars and the nitro fists and we could have an incredible season as the rest of the loot is great

This dude speaks the truth. They should remove cars and the gloves in ranked, like tournaments. Keep the cars in pubs bc rank should be competitive lol. This season has potential just like last season. They just have to switch somethings up
if they do that, the game will be stale. I like playing ranked and all but i don't want to go back to a season where I'm walking on foot all the time. My weapons are a pump, ar and three heals. I do the same thing in every game. It gets boring. The only time I touch the game is when they are good fun items.

@@brooklyn8745 Yes, I agree with your statement. Epic should lower the damage of the gloves when punching. But not change the damage when using the movement of the fist. They should also lower the time for the fist to charge.
I'm bad at the game but I'm on the competitive side. Because its not fun if its not challenging.
The perfect game for casuals:
Cars that kill you in a split second
Nitro breaking builds instantly
Very ballanced
Sweats: camp in boxes, heal offs, using the same shotgun over and over, complain and ruin the fun out of the game for everybody

newer generation gamers wanting wins handed to them is so true, anytime I fought you bhronos back in the arena grind days my trio and I used to get rolled sometimes and it always motivated me to just beat you the next time which we did sometimes. Such fun times man

i love how its such an easy fix just separate the ranked lootpool and give balance changes to ranked and tournament items let pubs be op so the so called 'casuals' can be happy with op stuff for free wins and the 'competitive community' can happily improve without dying to uncounterable items.
Look that’s a good idea but it doesn’t mean pubs can just devolve into an unbalanced mess. The balance changes we had in pubs were still needed.

The main point I agree with is that not having lootpools for comp simulation is unfortunate, i´ve enjoyed this season a lot, less worrying about getting sniped but way more chaos for better and worse. I´m almost zero build elite and it has been fun. Yes the fists are overpowered and the disparity between not having them and having them is big, but I feel like that is the case with any mobility in regards to zero builds. If they were to remove the fists from zero build ranked it would definitely sour me since they are so fun, and can see more of a debate for build but less for zero builds. chapter 4 season 3 had no real mobility item and it really suffered for it in zero builds.
As a casual, I’m realizing that cars in this season are eerily similar to mechs.
Both work best with a driver and gunner, but can still be used solo. Both have explosives and guns that’s do high damage and shred builds. Both give insane movement to the users.
I don’t care what anyone says, cars are just mechs that anyone can get. As dangerous as cars are, you can get one too and just like any other good weapon, you can adapt. So my recommendation is to stop arguing about this season, because I guarantee next season won’t have the same stuff as this one.

You mention that let the casuals with the overpower cars and have separate loot pools for competitive and pubs which sounds great and all but there is one problem. Most content creators would still complain. They mainly play pubs and there is no way they're going to play rank if it becomes a sweat fest. They'll complain how it is too sweaty in rank. I'm not fan of the overpower cars and personally ever since they toned down the cars, I think the game is bit more playable, but I still rather prefer the cars not be all over the place. Can't make everyone happy. 🤷♂

I'm retired from the game but the amount of whining that the sweats do is actually crazy. Casuals have a bigger playerbase. The game works like a democracy between the casuals and sweats. Casuals love the season so do you think epic is going to ruin it for them just because a smaller percentage of the playerbase is whining?

Arena was nowhere as close to being as big as ranked is today. You know why, because tournament loot is hella boring because it is balanced. Add some excitement with fun goofy items. Some items do need to be nerfed but not every does because " The sweats hate it". just because the sweats want slip lootpool back , does that mean the majority want it.

Honestly. It's not the game that should adapt to the players it's the opposite. Because everyone is good at different things, if we start listening to every complainer we would have had cars removed out of the car season and there would be a single gun that does the same damage.
Well Fortnite has become a competitive based game a long time ago. When pros get mad and say that an item is too overpowered it gets nerved immediately. Epic knows competitive is the only thing that keeps the game alive .

@@ducky4605without competitive there is no drive to improve at the game, which makes you play less and less. Comp players have the most hours and spend the most money, so yes it is what keeps the game alive. A minority keeps the majority a live.

5:40 they werent catering to comp they just left the first season plain since they likely had already dumped most of their resources into making all the map n assets n such for the new chapter + star wars collab/event + weird events like the risky reels screenings
also balance wise c2s2 + c2s3 were far from catered to competitive considering the insane mythics (most notably kits shockwave launcher), heavy snipers, framerate based aim assist, grenades (which were in comp for c2s1-c2s2 iirc), c4 that went through turbobuilds, deafening POI music that couldnt be turned down, crash pads, and thats just off the top of my head. also c2s4 competitive wasnt too bad (think there was still grenades and boogies in comp cant recall exactly) but tournament wise was pretty shocking since it was basically left to be a battle between whichever trios were owning the stark and doom pois in each region.
anyways good video, we really do need separate lootpools for ranked + tournaments back (and maybe even balancing like they did with firefly jars + spiderman gloves)

The pros, who are always ahead of everyone else, one of the main reasons they are considered pros, are being told to adapt by some 11 year old who thinks 7 crown wins are an acheivement that they need to "Adapt" to fists that could carve a metal box in two, or a car that could fucking regen hp with an already insane hp pool.

That's because we play the game to have stupid fun, not to optimize every single move out of it. Just because the competitive eater asks for the chef to only make slimy hotdogs doesn't mean it is a good thing for the entire restaurant where people are there to enjoy good food and ambiance. Sweats suck because they don't understand that you don't have to always win to have fun.

Bruh casual and competitors are not at war with each other they are mostly in a war with epic for not doing the option everybody agrees on which is 2 separate loot pools and siphon in ranked and tournaments and maybe in pubs idk tho . And the worst part is they won’t even tell us why they make some of these dum ahh changes
they wont seperate loot pools. Fortnite is a business we tend to forget about. Competitive loot pools tend to be boring for casual audiences which in turn makes people not very excited to tune into tournaments which means less money or sponsors for epic.

This has been one of the most fun seasons and Week 1 was some of the most fun I had in any multi game ever.
Well until the sweats came over with optimizing the fun out of the game. It wasn't even about winning, it was about chaotic, exploding things, high speed gameplay. In the end casuals are right, video games are meant to be played for fun not for winning. If you have fun winning that's good, but if you have fun losing that's even better. The issue is that sweats don't know how to deal when they start losing.
hopefully, next season, chapter 2 OG, and chapter 6 fix these problems. Also i dont know if it just me or smth but these medalions are making the game to chaotic and i dont really like that, they need to go back to making good and balanced mythics that are at good pois that are difficult to fight. also the structure of the builds in chapter 5 are horrible, sometimes u cant build in places u should, hopefully epic fixes these problems. :)
There are more casual players than competitive players, that means casual is better than competitive because it is more popular

I think if had to pick the route that give me more victory Royales I choose the casual players because when they get the loot pool they want over the sweats not only would it give me more victory royales but it would also help the pros just because their skill would make them an instrument of death even more so with this season compared to previous. plus I get to keep winning so that’s me tho. This season not great but it’s okay it’s not as good or bad as people say it is.
i personally have been saying since battle royales started that they needed to make a twisted metal battle royale and the closest i got was the h1z1 car battle royale which was fun but the servers were garbage. for me this was the best season yet until they listened to everybody crying and nerfed the cars and added boogie bombs.

without skill based matchmaking fortnite would have died completely years ago, it is the only solution to what has been a problem for anyone who wants to just play the game casually (which is a very significant part of the playerbase and who the game appealed to originally, just look at any old gameplay, they all are bad at the game) which is a constantly rising skill gap making it impossible for anyone who just wants to play the game and have fun instead of endlessly grinding to get better, to play the game, and it has been a problem since late chapter 1, it is why they did all the shit they did in season x

Here’s my take: Both sides are being super immature and don’t respect the other.
Casuals think every item they touch should let them win and comp players have a grudge against people who just want to have fun.
Fortnite should keep all the changes they have currently done (minus boogies) in pubs. Casual needs fun but balanced elements. Ranked should steer towards a practice competitive mode, removing cars and NPCs, etc. It’s not perfect but it works.

Sweats are the ones who play the game the most but they aren't many sweats. There are so many casual players who buy stuff from the item shop and have fun in the game. And there is always a constant stream of casuals. Would Epic anger the playerbase that earns them the most money by nerfing the fun op items or would they please the sweats by nerfing those weapons or straight up remove them?
Yes small percentage, and one that shouldn't even be heard, look at what sweats do to games, they optimize the crap out of everything and drain what makes things fun at all. Video games are for fun.

Maybe I should spend a month without playing Fortnite and save myself the agony. There is no guarantee that after a month the game will be different or better - but I could just make it 2 or 4 months.
By far the worst season of all time as of now, actually unplayable... From indestructable vehicles with grenade launchers on top, to horrible servers with game freezes every game and horrible ping

Casuals hate this game to. Look at the playerbase droping. The game is unbalanced and this is not fun at all. You may enjoy it, but the game should be balanced to allow all the playstyles and, this is not the case here. So, for me, this is the worse season of all time
Us casuals are dropping because Epic decided to listen to sweats and what made the game fun for us at the start of the season is being chopped to pieces.

I’m a casual and I feel that if they remove or nerf the cars further that gets rid of the whole theme of the season. I also think that it is a good idea to add items back such as the emp grenade and the anvil rocket launcher

I like they added public lootpool to ranked. I like ranking to unreal but it is too boring by using a pump, ar ad 3 heals every match. I wanted to play public matches but it was too boring. Adding public lootpool to ranked made rank much more interesting. I personally thought arena was just boring because i couldn't use the fun wacky items which are the core of fortnite
Ranked is for competitive people/practice, adding unskillful weapons ruins the entire point of ranked modes. It’s no longer you earning the rank with skill, it’s pure rng. Fun is meant for pubs and creative not competitive game modes.

Considering that sweats are a small playerbase, I a casual, has a larger amount of people I know who love the new season because from statistical analysis, using the same independent variable, we can calculate that the number of casuals far outweighs the sweats who hate the season.
