I have been in FPV for 3 months and this is the first video where I get everything explained briefly. You said what is important at each step and what I need to pay attention to. Thanks for that. I think the steps are also transferable to other cameras, I just have to pay attention to the color ranges that the camera uses.
Yo mr sirM! Love your work and this is super super helpfull! Living in switzerland and doing a journey over to italy next month, would love to buy you a beer and fly some packs man! Keep going 👌 charlie
Nice one man! But honestly this is really hard for a beginner to understand. I mean I grade for a while and basically this could have been done in maybe 4-5 nodes max. I see people always using a ton of nodes and it is not always necessary, well it is of course easier to find the adjustment but a lot of times you can do this in 3 nodes + the glow and dehancer each a node. Anyway nice one with the glow and dehancer that is something I have learned from you and I will try it in my videos. But actually you didn't say it is a beginner grade course because you actually need some experience already to understand this. 🙏
Yeah..i try to stay organized on my workflow. Thats why i keep it on more nodes eventhough you could do it in just 4 as well for sure! I might do a very simplified one for all the beginners out there in the near future!
Nice work man! I think thats the best footage out of any other GoPro anyone has created. Im on davinci 2 years now and never thought GoPro footage could be manipulated like that in color tab. I cant believe this is 8bit color. Im thinking of replacing my sony and canon for my broll for GoPro 11 10bit. I only hope they introduce log in GoPro12. Keep up the good work.
Really hope so too! This one grade I created came off a gopro hero8 but with the tools we have nowadays you can go pretty far luckily! Thanks a lot for the kind words. Really appreciate it!
@@SirMProductions I just watched all your fpv footage and man this is great work ,supposedly you haven't mound your sony on it :) Can I ask if you are using ndf, and if you do, do they have the same result like the ones used in camera lenses? Thanks
@@SCVisualArt thanks a lot! 90% of the shots were made with gopro! I use nd filters (polarpro) for my gopro. They do a pretty good job exceot for the lens flare which i dont like all to much
Every shot needs to be treated different. That's why I want to stay off LUTs. The only good results I got by using them, was after I understood a basic workflow. So better start off practicing your grading and later on go for LUTs. It's worth it! 🙌
@@jws5161 no..it was shot in falt. I would try not tos hoot in log as you lose more than you gain. The shadows for example get super mushy and lose a lot of detail when shooting in log
Sorry to tell you this but IMO your color grading is bad. Mainly because the white balance is very off, also you are using too many nodes and adjustments without really achieving anything with them.
Whats the issue with the white balance being off. I'm not color correcting? I use a lot of nodes yeah..i like to keep a node reserved for one specific task. Could it be done with 4 nodes too? Absolutely, yeah!
Unfortunately not. Need to make a new tutorial about my workflow as it has changed again by now. Also would make it simplier for all of you. Will do so once I find the time!

Thanks a lot! Glad i could explain it well enough!
Beautiful😍
This is really good workflow and tips 👏
Appreciate it! Thanks a lot!
Very good tutorial, thanks.
Glad it helped you. Might do another one soon with a bit more simplified and effective approach!
Great looking gopro footage. It really looks like there's more dynamic range than gopro can actually capture.
Thanks a lot! Glow surely makes it look a lot better!

Nice tutorial, helped me a lot for my colorgrading thx dude!
Thanks for sharing your workflow. I've been flying these things for years and still feel aimless when i hit the color page lol. This helps, thx
Glad i could help!

Thanks for the feedback! Will keep that in mind!
I must learn davinci resolve

Ciao! Cosa hai impostato per avere un profilo così flat? Metterlo solo su flat anche a 10bit rimane troppo saturato
Flat and low sharpness...on the hero8 flat does look less saturated and contrasty compared to hero10 for some reason!
how do you get your workspace like that?
All i did was pretty mich hiding the clips and expanded the color diagram!
Footage should be color of flat ?
Flat
was this footage shot in log?
