    Per the Rotax Line Maintenance Manual (ed 4 rev 1) section 12-20-00 page 61, step #5: " Calculate friction torque (Nm) by multiplying the force (N) obtained on the
    spring scale by the distance the scale is attached from the center of the propeller (L).
    The friction torque must be between 30 Nm and max. 70 Nm (22 to 51.6 ft.lb). "

    I made my own locking pin, but NOT out of a cheap bolt, but a good quaility cap screw. It took about 45 seconds.

    Even with sparkplugs out, this is real redneck science. "Special tool"? Accent matches the BS.

      The test works, nothing wrong with the work being done.. how would you do it differently? Remember these are ultralights which run on exemptions from normal licensing, maintenance and medical requirements so they can be flown at a lower cost and be more accessible to the worker rather than the GA world of businessmen. Let us have our fun
