Sick Spot Syndrome, or SSS is the feeling of being overwhelmed by the large volume of opportunities scattered throughout a spot, leaving you feeling stuck and not knowing where to start. Symptoms may be feeling tired, headaches, blissful sadness...
Seems true! Thanks for the detailed explanation my guy!👌
When you think you're just not a creative enough athlete, then realize you actually have a condition called SSS. Wow it all makes sense now. 😱😂
That’s very true and important to know!😉. Never think you’re not worth it! You’re great the way you are!
Definitely a thing in skateboarding too where a spot has already been “killed” so doing any lesser trick feels pointless.
Awe man! I know how you feel bro! What a pain!😩
I think it depends on the level of skateboarding. At the super end level yeah there they wanna do the NBD at a spot, but on the level i was skating, that went up to 14 stair rail, i couldnt care less what someone else did at a spot, i just did what i had in my bag and it was ultimate fullfilling :)
The last time I've heard a couple of Germans talk about a couple of S it didn't end well
😅. Yeah that’s kinda a funny coincidence hey?
Not funny IMHO. Also Team Farang is a global team in case you haven't noticed. Only Jason is from Germany.
@@onreact oh sorry! I think I understood that wrong!
@@onreact just a joke bruh. Relax
Anyone who struggles from SSS I feel ya! But remember! Pull through and we’ll keep progressing! Parkour Hard, Love the vibe!😎🤘
You should do a video about LMS - we talk about it all the time and I actually don’t even know what it stands for. It’s where you have a move you want to do in the back of your mind, and when you go to do a prep or an easier move, that other thing comes out. Example: you want to try double flyaway for the first time outside, and you think lemme just do a flyaway first, and you do double accidentally. James has had it so strong that he went for a round off of full that was supposed to be a prep for full in, and he LMSed a double full and over flipped it to his back and got a concussion. I once did triple fly away accidentally, and I did my first triple cast away into water the other day on accident
Usually it just helps you achieve scary goals by accidentally committing but it actually can make it sketchy to prep things outside
Yeah! That’s a good idea! Would be fun!!
My condition is far deadlier. It is called NSS. You guessed it. It starts with a NO
Unfortunately there's no cure for that. RIP.
Oh boy! That is bad!😅😝
😂
@@lucasboisneau4256 😏🤘
Yeah, here in India that's an epidemic! Cheap powdery paint is the worst cause.
Love the commitment to this video haha! Thank you Dr Paul for diagosing me!
I know! It was very well done!👌
I think SSS happens because a different spot doesn’t fit the style of parkour you’re used to. It’s super difficult to change your style on the spot like that so it usually results to you not doing anything and feeling demotivated.
I get that! That’s a good theory! I believe it to a certain extent too! Just it’s difficult but good to tru new things!
Just been to IMAX Gap in london and got destroy when me and my friend was there.
Every jumps is so big and very high impact.
Yeah I get that! It’s pretty tough but don’t expect to by like the greats just yet! You’ll get there some day but it takes lots of work!
WOW!
The past 6 years i suffered from: Morbus Crohn, leaky gut, chronical stomache over-acid-ing?, Azidose (sour blood), another blood illness, liver- & thyroid-disfunction, gluten-intollerance, fructose-intollerance, and couple of other things, that left me with starving of a fictious corn diet, literally only corn and water, that was it for years. All in all: One more tiny thing and i would have died. SO THANK GOD I AM LIVING IN COLOGNE WHERE I CAN NEVER GET SSS! :D
But in case someone knows some SSS Spots in Cologne, you can tell me, i will only die of happyness to be at some spot where i can actually do my first parkour lines, and learn some things and progress. Thanks :)
This actually makes sense
I know! It’s being played as a joke but I believe it is a real thing!
Thank you for spreading awareness of mental health in parkour in general and 3S or sick spot syndrome in particular. It's a serious issue and can lead to a lot of frustration. One of the ways to deal with it is to never train at sick spots (which are like Disney Land for parkour) and just to embrace opportunities that arise everywhere in your area. Parkour is the discipline of overcoming obstacles in your path not of staying in one place and jumping back and forth all the time.
Exactly! Very well said my friend! I believe it is important to stick to that!👌
And, the Parkour-son's Syndrome where everything slightly off the ground is parkourable.
Not to mention, the Thief-simulator disease.
Oh man! Yeah! No I’m kidding! That’s the opposite problem but still bad and very annoying! Don’t catch that one!
And what might TS disease entail?
@@Will-yi9cg planning sick runaways lmao
Great video guys!
As always! Their stuff is sick!🔥😝
I went to Imax one time and remember standing there just thinking "well tf do i start now"
I know the feeling! Taking in a big new spot is exciting but often very hesitant! You’re not alone!
Dude this is REAL
No kidding right?! It’s the hardest thing sometimes!😬
Like number 100.. tens of thousands to come. Farang will always be dope.
No kidding man! Thanks for joining the fan bus! OnceFerang AlwaysFerang!
add on is a great treatment for SSS
That is a true fact! #7 cure I believe right?
UMTS is a similar problem for improvising musicians. Unintegrated Music Theory Syndrome, it's when soemeone wants to play Jazz but lacks to confidence to use their ears, online they find tools to seel them Theory Learning Packages of dubious usefuleness and 'We're off' ten years later not one single interesting solo has been played and no tunes learned properly. It also related to SLND (Stolen Lick NonSequitur Driveling) and is a specific case of the general malady, BHOS (buying horsesh1t online syndreom). The answer is always humble practice, as with SSS.
The first time I really experienced SSS was my first time training at tempest
Oh yeah? I’ve heard good things about that place but haven’t been yet! I can’t wait to go someday!
I would actually suffer from this if I ever see this sort of spots.
Cause all I ever had was a ledge and been training there for almost 3 years.
Awesome guys
🤙
@@TZPK nice parkour channel you have I'm subscribed 🔥👍👍👍
@@teamlightning9963 Dude!! Really appreciate that bro! Means a lot!😎👍
I have the same kind of syndrome but with the moves and tricks, there's too many I want to master idk where to start and it can end up not mastering any of them. An advise if you're also in that situation : dedicate a number of hours / days / weeks / training session to master 1 move in particular before moving on to another.
Hey man! I think one good exercise could be to organize a skill tree and think about which moves could benefit other moves. For example: you might want to learn corks and b-twists. For most people b-twists are easier. So if you learn b-twist first and don’t train corks at all, you can learn cork faster later on. It can also be a problem for your muscle memory, if you practice moves that are too similar. You could confuse the techniques.
That way you can master one at a time and they will benefit you later on.
Divide and conquer 😁
@@TheJasonPaul those are some wise advises ! I couldn't agree more with you, my cork has never been better than at the time I were also working on my twists. But working my cheat gainer kinda messed up with my cork 😂
That’s a good way to look at it! I have a similar thing but take it one or two tricks at a time and make sure to get them GOOD before you move on! Good advice Sacha!
@@hyorinn_ always a pain! Similar setup but tricks take a different twist that can be mixed up between the two easy!
@@TheJasonPaul love the advice bro! We should get in touch! I think it’s be cool to make a video explaining this! 🔥 idea mate!
SSS left me feeling like im shit and not progressed.
I get the feeling! It can be frustrating but don’t give up! It’s tough but you have to know you have it in you! Just come back to if!
Haha, what a keeper. Brilliant.
No kidding right? They’re able to make something out of anything!
I know its a joke but honestly tho, i really struggle with this
It really isn’t a joke! I believe it’s a true thing bro!
The Goats
Oh yeah! They the real thing hey,
I defiantly have that

SSS is a serious problem
No kidding! The important part is to help others dealing with the syndrome!

how is this park called ?
Rote Stadt, Munich
@@LéonGelin thanks !
It’s a pretty cool place hey?
You should definitely change the name...as there's actually a real severe disease called SSSS.
But I assume this is just pure coincidence, so all good.
Yeah coincidence but this is somewhat a real thing so it’s technically defined as a problem just not a disease!
@@TZPK Alright thanks for enlighten me mate - didn't knew that.
@@tobiasfrey5653 Of course buddy!
