One thing thats a pity with FSC is there inflexibility to new opportunities to certify wood products . For example we develop a lot of lumber offcuts from house construction. The offcuts are big enough to supply to furniture makers, however many of them cannot take as non FSC. So the wood is either put in landfill or sold to charcoal producers. Unfortunately FSC will not accredited these offcuts and so devaluing and limiting their usage . A great pity all around
